If they're only starting the 11th of September, that's a bit late imho. They should start earlier, as Kinect is already trying to win minds of the audience. Move needs to kick into gear faster.

I dont think they need the same type of marketing. I guess Sony thinks (I think so too) that Move will receive good word of mouth from users. Plus, I think its hard to demonstrate the difference between Move and Wii with 30-60 seconds commercial. Also, its not a 150$ camera. As a consumer, when you look at Move package you seem to be getting more for your money. Which isnt neccesarily the case. But in my opinion, a controller, a cam and a game for 100$ will looks a better value then a special cam at 150$ for most consumers. Unless Microsoft is able to show value in their cam, and thats what they are doing. Two different types of marketing for two different products.

I agree with everything except for this. Kinect comes with Kinect adventures if I'm not mistaken.

Oh yes sorry it was suppose to be there. Im gonna correct the post.

Smart, it should push ps3's, as Move comes out SEP 18, so if they keep that thing up for a month or two, I would expect hightened PS3 hardware sales, they could realy get people to ge ton the ps3 bandwagon..

Actually according to the rumor they are going to do that until 2011.

I just noticed. Why is it launching on 9/11? I hope this doesn't give move a bad reputation.

Dont worry its not launching on that date. Its the heavy marketing that is starting on that day. If not, nice attention to detail there.

yeah, but kinect & MOVE aren't really direct competitors.

In the comparison chart Sony did, right after Microsoft did theirs, Sony blasted Nintendo far more than they blasted Microsoft.  Both likely see Nintendo as the main threat.

Awesome!  This is the kind of marketing the Move needs to succeed.  I can't wait to get some hands-on with the device myself, though I'm buyiung it anyway.  And I would love for MS to do the same thing.  That way people can compare the accuracies and gaming experiences of both.  I think we all know who would be the winner in that comparison.
