And Super Mario Bros. 2 was considered too hard for the retarded Americans to play.  We've been spoon fed easy gaming experiences while the Japanese have been playing the tougher games, there whole lives.

Actually, that is completely untrue. Google around and you'll find dozens of comments from developers about how Japanese gamers hate overly difficult games and despise dying in-game... and most of them are from Japanese developers themselves. Ever wondered why the Japanese and Americans have drifted so far apart in gaming tastes? By and large, their gaming experiences are RPGs (no dying, your own pace) or puzzle games while Americans have delved into the cut-throat world of online gaming, the most difficult of all gaming experiences short of playing a game on Insane in a time trial. Europeans seem to be more of a mix.

Now, this isn't true for ALL Japanese gamers versus their American counterparts but I've heard it from enough respected developers that I'll take their word for it.

Dammit, Rocketpig!  Weren't you gone?  You came back just to prove me wrong!!

He's right.  They actually upped the difficulty of their games for us.  Devil May Cry 3's American normal difficulty was the hard difficulty in the original Japanese version.  Those videos you gave us links to were hardcore Japanese gamers.  Also, any gamer can get through that final boss if they have enough coins to continue.

I wouldnt worry to much. I sometimes think the other way around for you Americans. LOL.

Whats your highest Skill Rating on Halo 3?

Mines 28. Everytime I get near 30 I goback down to around 25. Damn you Americans. ;)

Maybe the internet is more easily available in the UK at higher speeds than US???

Dunno.

The highest skill I ever got to was 40....my high skill right now is 36 (which is in team slayer) and I don't do too bad in that but in Team snipers I get raped all the time (I'm a 34 in snipes)   And these are really the only 2 set lists I play anymore in Halo 3.

Thats cool. I have no doubt I can get there, but my problem is time. I get like 3 days of good time on it, start major owning, have a breakl and then have to sharpen up again.

I played with some guys on Team Swat, and they were like highest of 48 I believe. They made me friends after and said I was really good. I felt good that day. :)

From my experience:

1. Koreans

.

2. Swedes.

3. Rest of Europe.

4. South America

5. USA

Sadly this is the case. I want USA to be on top but they aren't.

My problem is I don't play too much anymore, I have 1 month breaks and that really screws with your skill level.

Last summer I was pretty sick at Halo 3 (I could snipe and 4 shot just about anything) only the best people beat me....now though I am pretty much the worst person in every match of Halo 3 I play.  I find myself getting stuck on random corners and objects, not to mention It takes me multiple shots just to kill one person with a sniper, I can't even 6 shot with a BR, and I don't have any teamwork whatsoever.  So I get raped so much in Halo 3 these days.  Like today I had a match where I only got 1 kill the whole match and went -10....its pretty depressing going from really good to major suck lol.

Man, i am colombian and i dont play that much online, but i think the best gamers are in east-asia, they really took it at the next level.

Most of the guys in latinamerica are not that good since we took the gaming-sport at an older age compared to japanese and korean guys.

I got beat in Super Street Fighter 4 by a Japanese infant who was chewing on a controller.  We don't stand a chance.
