Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

Americans dominate fps/tps games. that is a fact.
take a good look at the leaderboard of any popular game and you'll see 9 out of 10 being american.
Not a 360 fanboy, just a PS3 fanboy hater that likes putting them in their place ^.^

Culture is different in America. By and large Americans have less free time than most other developed countries in the world.
Recent studies and comparisons have shown that Americans spend far more time in the workplace than other developed nations. The average American spent 1,804 hours at work – be it an office, shop or farm. This breaks down to about 35 hours a week, assuming no holidays or time off, which we know is not the case. By comparison, Norwegians worked 1,401 hours and the French worked 1,564.
I would also point out that Americans purchase the most games and is the largest gaming market in the world. This doesn't necessarily mean that a higher percentage of people play Video games here though.
I believe that Americans own more games on average than other places in the world. So while an average guy from Poland might own 4 games for his Xbox 360. The average American most likely owns 8. This difference cannot go under-stated.
I've always felt that I have a natural knack to being atleast top 10%-25% of my team very shortly after picking up a game. But many games (Uncharted 2, Metal Gear Solid 4, etc) I just never put in a TON of time into their multi-players. So if I were to jump into those games today, I would get face rolled. I've played literally 15 other games since Uncharted 2.
I don't feel like the rest of the world is the same as that as a whole. I feel like that guy from Poland might play the living hell out of Uncharted 2 because quite frankly it's the best option he has.

Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

maybe you need to use a different weapon.
maybe you don't spend enough playing halo online.
got an idea. play against some of your friends more like a three on one. your reaction time should increase.

Average work week of 35 hours? Where do I sign up? In Canada it's 40 hour work weeks.
Also, according to Wikipedia (I know not the most reliable source) the Irish are the highest "Per Capita" purchasers of video games.
Unicorns ARE real - They are just fat, grey and called Rhinos

And Super Mario Bros. 2 was considered too hard for the retarded Americans to play. We've been spoon fed easy gaming experiences while the Japanese have been playing the tougher games, there whole lives. Now, we're paying the price. Japanese gamers are better than American gamers. Japanese automobiles are better than American autos. The movies "American Ninja" and "Beverly Hills Ninja" were embarrassments to real Ninjas. And now, Japanese gamers pwn American gamers in anything that's not an FPS.
I got beat in Super Street Fighter 4 by a Japanese infant who was chewing on a controller. We don't stand a chance.
I wouldnt worry to much. I sometimes think the other way around for you Americans. LOL.
Whats your highest Skill Rating on Halo 3?
Mines 28. Everytime I get near 30 I goback down to around 25. Damn you Americans. ;)
Maybe the internet is more easily available in the UK at higher speeds than US???
Dunno.

Actually, that is completely untrue. Google around and you'll find dozens of comments from developers about how Japanese gamers hate overly difficult games and despise dying in-game... and most of them are from Japanese developers themselves. Ever wondered why the Japanese and Americans have drifted so far apart in gaming tastes? By and large, their gaming experiences are RPGs (no dying, your own pace) or puzzle games while Americans have delved into the cut-throat world of online gaming, the most difficult of all gaming experiences short of playing a game on Insane in a time trial. Europeans seem to be more of a mix.
Now, this isn't true for ALL Japanese gamers versus their American counterparts but I've heard it from enough respected developers that I'll take their word for it.
