Well, for me, I am a huge Metroid Prime fan. Metroid Prime was my first game on a Nintendo system and I thoroughly loved it and it ranks as my 2nd favorite game off all time behind Final Fantasy VII, Echoes was a bit disappointing to many but I loved that as well and rank it in my top 10. Maybe it's because I suck with the Wiimote that I didn't enjoy Prime 3 as much as the others, I don't know, but the entire enjoyment factor, atmosphere, cool weapons, awesome upgrades etc... that I loved in the previous 2 games didn't click with this one. There were awesome upgrades but I hold the series at such a high pedigree since it was my first Nintendo game that it just felt disappointing.

That doesn't mean it was a bad game, I was just expecting more from the last of such a fantastic series.

Me sucking with the Wiimote definitely didn't help.

This game rawksorz... sorry but it just does. I know people will call me a PS3 homer but honestly, I'm on my fifth playthrough of Uncharted (already beaten crushing difficulty and medals) and it never gets old. Can't wait for the sequel.

Fifith playthrough of Uncharted and I still haven't beaten SMG or ME. I've actually fallen asleep on my couch 4 times while playing ME. And SMG... well... don't really feel like getting into my personal gripes with the game on this site but c'mon... in five years will it really be considered up there with the likes of SMB3 or SM64?... I'm not feeling it. Just my opinion, though.

Biggest Disappointments -

Wii - Metroid 3. Dude, Prime 1 & 2 are in my top 10 all time, but this game? If I feel like having my hand held through a linear adventure with a bunch of space baddies I'll play Halo. All that streamlining put me in the mind of Metroid Fusion - another blight on the Metroid Series' name.

XBox - This year I picked up the 360 again (got rid of my last one(s) because of multiple RRoD issues) for Bioshock. And Man - was the first half of that game awesome. Too bad the second half boiled down to boring collect-a-thons and fetch quests. Its sad that if the game had been about 3-4 hours shorter it might have been my GOTY.

PS3 - Lair was lame - not absolutely abysmal as some would claim - but lackluster just the same. But that's been talked about to death. Also, early year sales for the system were sad.

There's two games that I've played this year that I'm going to remember for a long time, hence the only two that I'll name.

Portal (PC)
SMG

PS3- Uncharted (R&C doesnt come CLOSE for me)
Wii- SMG
360- (didnt play Bioshock, among other games. I cant make a fair vote)

So you are saying the PS3 has a better game than anything on the 360 (since CoD4 is just as good on the PS3)?  I like you.  That's an interesting Wii pick as well.

*sigh*  PS3 has more games than Wii, especially if you include PSN games, which are original for the most part and at least upgraded if not original.  AC6 did well considering.  Hopefully the PS3 version is at least equal.
