don't you get a soundtrack and book with the eu demons souls

i'd get that

Yeah but they're sold out.

The new shipments to Europe are only regular version.

thats a shame,i thought there was only that BP edition in EU,you should hunt around the online stores i'm sure you'll find one

Yeah, only Black Phantom version at first. But in early August the regular version will officially be released in Europe. And at least here in Sweden the BP edition is already sold out in every online store.

Btw, those who have the BP edition (or the standalone strategy guide) - isn't it kind of cheating to use a strategy guide for this game?

i think you can be forgiven in getting the strategy guide for DS,i got the US version, but couldn't buy a stategy guide at the time

i haven't finished DS yet but i will get a guide if i see one although Letsadark does a good job as a guide....

Yeah, I'll try to use him.

Trust me, the strategy guide is a must to help you even manage the game. Those who played the NA version had the Demon's Souls Wiki to thank (the same guys who created this strategy guide).

It kinda reminds me of Illusion of Gaia. The only game ever to came out with it's own strategy guide, because it was impossible to finish the game without it

Oh... Well, did you have to use a strategy guide? (the Wiki)

Hmm.... I really need the BP edition then. From what I saw last nite it was sold out in most UK online stores too. But I think one of them had it in stock. I must hurry.

Ahaha, thanks, but Demons Souls Wiki should get all the glory. It was my salvation in the dark halls of Boletaria I still remember trying desperately to find Ostrava in 1-2, because I was in denial that he had died in 1-1

It screwed up my first playthrough in the game, a lot.

yes a guide book wouldn't spoil DS,i like books for some games

i had to stop reading that DS thread because it had too many spoilers for me,i haven't played DS in a while and i remember being in a pretty tough battle through of enemies to get where ever i was going,it wore me down but when you get back into it,it gets very addictive again

i still can't get hold of certain weapons i can see,i need to work on my tendancy which i don't even fully understand, its still one of my favourite games though

Yup, I had to use the wiki quite often, especially to get a hold off the tendencies and how to affect them to get both the Pure White and Pure Black events offline.

Also, trying to understand how to use the souls from the bosses effectively was pretty much impossible if you didn't had the Wiki (or compiled your own list, taking an insanely absurd amount of time to do it).

And taking the fact that to get the platinum, you have to play the game 4 times, because some boss souls have 4 different uses, you begin to see why the Wiki becomes precious and paramount to the game.

After a while though (when I was on New Game plus plus   ), I stopped going there, because I had memorized pretty much everything that I needed, in order to succeed in the game. Now I can customize my own character builds and adapt them to either PvP or PvE, and customize my own weaponry in the best prefixes suited to my needs and playing style, but that only came with more than 150 hours of gaming in Demon's Souls.

Depends on thge player. I personally found Red Dead Redemption to be a polished, non-stop action experience. However, I also found myself not wanting to play it much more than one full playthrough. Demon's Souls on the other hand was (despite it's difficulty) a blast, to say the least.

I don't think you could go wrong with either, but if it's strictly one or the other, I'd choose Demon's Souls.

Hours please.

Hours of what? I played and beat RDR's story, but didn't find much other reason to return to it. Demon's Souls, on the other hand, continues to make me come back.

Sorry, i meant played hours. Ruff estimates.

Actually, I've just hit the 300 mark now, with a new Magician build that i'm trying out since a week ago. My main character, a Soul Level 260 Thief has most of my time spent on Demon's Souls though

I Still play it, mainly on offline with my main character (because it's almost impossible to find a challenger at my soul level), and I'm taking my new build online sporadically, as to not mess up my World Tendencies too much.

Nice. I get so excited when you guys are talking about DS. I gotta get that Phantom Edition before it's too late.

And a Playstation 3.

RDR for you I guess...since you don't like it when you die a lot.

And get God of War III.

Demon's Souls. Yeah, right, shocking

So I dunno should I get Red Dead Redemption or Demon's Souls?!

Honestly you really need to get both games. But start with Red Dead. You can wait a few weeks until u get Demon's Souls. Wait for me so we can meet online on the EU servers! I'll let my dog go into your game world as a Black Phantom to bite and tear you into pieces.
