Lately I've been trying to catch up on all the games I missed out on the PS2. I was a Gamecube guy in the past and the only PS2 games I actually ever got into are God of War 1 + 2, the FIFA games, R&C series, Jak series and the Gran Turismo series. In the last few weeks I've gone on a spree trying to pick up as many good PS2 games as I can for a low price, so far I've picked up Metal Gear 2 &3, Operation Winback, Devil May Cry 2, The Getaway, Extermination, Mace Griffin: Bounty Hunter, PoP: The Sands of Time, Orphan, Black, Time Splitters and Spartan: Total Warrior. All of them are used and I bought them all for about $40 at random game stores.

I also recently found Silent Hill 3, Silent Hill: Origins and God Hand at $10 each without a booklet, are they worthy pickups? I usually avoid games without booklets and they cost more than most of the other PS2 games I've picked up, but I've also never seen them around in stores in Melbourne. 

I've also found Shadow of the Colossus and Ico at about $100 each (sealed), it's the first time I've found a copy of either of them. What are the chances of a HD collection coming out in the next year or so?

List some other games I should pick up.

hell yes it's worth it. If you don't want to drive maybe Ebay or Amazon?

Silent Hill 3 is definetly worth it. While it may not be as good as 2, It's still a good horror game worth checking out. Don't waste your money on Origins.

I never played God Hand but it's created by Shinji Mikami so it's granted to be awesome.

If you're looking for good JRPGs, I recommend picking up the Shin Megami Tensei games like Nocturne, Digital Devil Saga and Persona 3-4. There also some good Level-5 JRPGs worth checking out like Dark Cloud 2 and Rogue Galaxy. for good Action-Adventure games, pick up Okami or Devil May Cry 3(much better than 2). For shooters, pick up Killzone and 007: Nightfire.

Xenosaga Trilogy (I through III)

I and II are cheap new. But III will cost you an ass load. But it is worth it.

DMC 3 and 1 are awesome...2 SUX BALLS !

Orphan - Another horrible choice....I hated this game...its head ache inducing.

And SotC for $100 each is WAY too expensive.ICO is justified cause its VERY hard to find that game. Either way, they are amazing amazing games.

And the PS2 Burnout games were fucking amazing....not really niche, but try them if you haven't.
