As for Serious_frusting, I don't think you want to be siding with BHR-3. His predictions have been quite off lately...

If either of you think it will be down to 80k by next week... well I just have to say it clearly shows you don't really know how to follow or predict sales and simply want your console of choice to be doing better. In just 2 more weeks the Arcade 360 S will launch and cause another nice boost. The Arcade is the casual friendly version of the 360 and casuals aren't known for "upgrading" their consoles so we can finally get rid of the "It's all just existing owners upgrading" excuse.

I don't see that happening, maybe 70K at the lowest point. The $199 360S arcade coming out in a few weeks which will help keep sales high until the Halo Reach bundle. Also September is when sales generally start picking up after the summer low.

well 50k is just a number thrown out there 55-65k is close enough to it the 360S arcade is coming end of aug for EU still alot of weeks left and in the coming weeks old stock of non 360S models will by close to gone the 360s 4gb will cost the same as the current phased out 120gb elite model that even comes with games and i believe most will wait to get the 4gb360 with kinect bundle as it is a better deal

There's some major damage control going on in this thread for sure.

360 numbers are fantastic for mid summer, NO price cut launch with no new software out to push hardware.

BHR-3 your comparison to the PS3 launch isn't an accurate measure at all since it was launched closer to the holidays as well as with a $100 dollar price cut.
