Worldwide I don't think Reach will out launch Black Ops 360+PS3; though it might depend on how much it does so in the Americas.

Also just noticed that PS3 MW2 is coming very close to MW1 360 sales. So PS3 MW2 will soon become the 2nd highest selling CoD behind MW2 360. Not bad, considering PS3 CoD3 sold less than 1 million.

Seeing as almost all Xbox 360 users are diehard, obsessed Halo fans...

and the fact that many people are boycotting Call of Duty... regardless of developer [moreso because of Activi$ion]...

I'd say yes. Halo Reach will see massive Opening Week Sales. Can't deny that.

Also people know that Black Ops is no Modern Warfare so you won't see Black Ops outselling Reach at when comparing launch weeks.

I'm buying both, but it's possible for Reach to have a bigger lauch than Black Ops.

Off topic: Did MW2 Pass Halo3 In Lifetime Sales yet?

Answer: I think launch day sales of Halo: Reach will be 5-15% greater than launch day sales of Call of Duty: Black Ops (Xbox 360 & Playstation 3 combined).

Answer: Yes, Modern Warfare 2 has passed Halo 3 in lifetimes sales, it currentlly stands as the best sold Xbox 360 game to date. (But for how long. ;) )

MW2 (360 PS3) = 19.46M
MW2 (360) = 11.23M
Halo 3: 11.07M
MW2 (PS3) = 8.23M

America pre-order of Halo: Reach still is lower than MW2 (360) pre-order in same period (8 weeks for launch).
And if MW2 sales stay flat... more 1 year and PS3 version surpass Halo 3 too.

OP. For Black Ops... the America pre-orde is lower than Halo: Reach then I guess Halo: Reach will win.

Btw Call of Duty Black Ops is also coming out for the Wii on the same day as the PS3/Xbox360.
