I don't know... I have street fighter 2 on snes, on Xbox live too... I have 2 copies of Street Fighter 3 on original Xbox and I'm going to get Super Street Fighter 4 (no point in getting regular Street Fighter 4) .... too much Street Fighter -_- but I guess I'll get it when it's in the bargain ben if it has more features?

Howmany of your SF3 copies have online play and online community? (its a trick quiestion, none of them do...anymore)

Also... you do know even though the servers are down you can still play online MP on the games .... people are actually still playing DREAMCAST games online to this day... gamers set up thier own servers and play. And if Street Fighter 3 has online ability and it does... I'm pretty sure gamers will try to do it with Street Fighter 3... I wouldn't be surprised if there are gamers playing that game right now with thier own servers on the original Xbox...

Some Proof...

I was looking to get my Dreamcast out of the closet to play online and looky there are people playing Quake 3 Arena :3 ... and some others... not a bad selection either... I've heard great things about PSO.

All gaming systems, consoles/PC, have thier perks... why fight over preferences? I like Coke and you like Pepsi, that's it, let's not fight over which toy we like best cause that's what they are. Is someone's preference in a toy important or is the relationship between you and your neighbor more important? Answer is obvious, but THE most important thing is your relationship with God almighty. God Bless you in Jesus's name.

I can communicate without talking... I can send a loved one money without actually sending money... and I can commit theft without the product disappearing, the point of theft is the point of theft not one of it's possible symptoms which is the product dissappearing. The thief wants to gain something without paying for it, that's the point of theft, the thief doesn't have to care or anybody else has to care if the product dissappears. The product dissappearing is just a possible symptom of theft. Gifts are sacrfices, in order to give a gift, it has to be a genuine sacrfice/gift, meaning a copy of the game isn't still in your PC. Piracy is theft and/or being a culprit of theft.

Yeah I am familiar with the dreamcast online scene... Hell if broadband adapters weren't 1000 bucks id be online with my dreamcast.

Sadly SF3 wasn't online with the dreamcast.

As far as the xbox, its possible...but I don't think it has the server following as the dreamcast. Xbox crowd just moved over to 360.

All in all, lets not argue over which games can be played online and which can't... lets just rejoyce in having one of the greatest 2D fighters remade (with decent net code I hope) for XBL/PSN.

And, as far as I know, SF3 will be playable offline, too.  Have fun with your friends at home and when they're not around, have fun playing with people online.  SF3 online in HD.  What could be bad about that?

I don't think you've been reading my posts, I don't think anythings wrong with Online MP, just that Offline MP is better and I have that plus 1 extra copy.

I have 2 copies of Street Fighter 3 and I don't care TOO MUCH about online (but I do a bit, it convinient to play anytime) .... I can play them offline with friends and family now why would I want another Street Fighter 3 with online? So when the online community does and now I have 3 Street Fighter 3 games I can play offline? See there... thats my point... and that's why if it has new features which it definitely will... I'll buy it when its in the bargian bin because although I do enjoy online MP... I'm not obsessed with it like TOO MANY people are... Offline  > Online ... no lag, can play the game even without online community.... the only thing Online has over offline is that while the online community lasts... you can play anytime... but with offline you can play forever, not at that very moment but you can by calling over a friend(s).... your brother next room... or  you can even system link and play with more people... Halo Lan Parties? The Computer Lan Cafes?

Point is.... for me I don't really care too much. And I really think all gamers shouldn't care too much for online either because its over-rated and thought of as the ONLY way to play MP, which is not true at all. I used to play with my brothers and friends FFA Mario Kart 64... Golden Eye 007 ... 4 way death-match and those were actually the most fun MP matches I've ever experienced. Just looking to the left to see the expression of my friends face as I electricut him in Road Rash 64 with a stunner weapon is pure LOL we have to keep offline MP (even make it better then Online MP) in all games that have MP... it gives us unlimited replay value. Accept it, you know you'd want it later on when that Online community dies... in your most favorite game ever.

I have 2 SF3's (and lord knows how many SF2's, Alpha's, etc.), too!  I've been playing 3rd Strike since the Dreamcast games.  Nobody really plays against me anymore at home.  Street Fighter is just one of those series that can get you to buy virtually the same game over and over again.  Thing is, no matter how good you are, you're not a man until you play me.  Get the online version, play me.  Eventually we'll get bored, forget the game exists, and buy it again.  It's what Mufasa was talking about when he told Simba about the "Circle of Life".  The Lion King was where the Power Glove debut, isn't it?

If the time you, me, and elgefe02 played SF2HD Remix is any indication (ancient history, I know), I'm definitely NOT looking forward to it!  That Saturn controller is brutal!

lol, those were fun matches. Hopefully they get a kickass lobby system in to SF3 so we can do group things like that again...

If they don't rebalance the game, I'll most likely just stick to the version of SF3 that I already own. Granted I don't play the version of 3S for Xbox. Once the online shut down, I went back to the superior Dreamcast version of 3S. Not to mention I have to boot up Double Impact so I can remember a time when Sean wasn't brutally assaulted by the nerf stick.

What would they need to do to rebalance the game?

Other than take out all characters that have "un" in their name... :)
