Nintendo has recently announed that Dragon Quest IX will be released in Australia on August 19, 2010. That is a whole 4 weeks after their European coutnerpart.
This comes after Super Mario Galaxy 2 took a whole 3 weeks to get from Europe to australian shores, not including the delay between the US and European release dates.
Seriously, Nintendo of Australia, what the hell is going on? It seems like you are heading backwards in terms of meeting release dates compared to the rest of the world, and let's not even mention cetain high-rating games that you have refused to ship here (I'm talking Excitebots and Sin and Punishment 2). Heck, I'm still waiting for Cave Story on Wiiware, about 3 or 4 weeks since it got OFLC classification approval.
It's time for Aussie Nintendo fans to decide what they want to do once the next gen comes, because I am seriously considering importing all of my 3DS/Wii successor consoles and games from the US....
