Well, the antennae issue is easily fixable compared to most other problems. And it's not like Apple is the only company ever had problems with a product, just about every company does at some point. Sony had exploding batteries. Microsoft had RROD. Nintendo had the lens issue. Heck, I could come up with examples all day.

its a design problem, they either give u a new iphone with redesigned antenna, but that's expensive they won't do that, that's why they are giving free bumpers. they are hiring antenna engineers now.

the thing is not they are not saying sorry, we screw up, or going to fix the issue to existing owners.

sony, nintendo, even microsoft offered an apology, apple just did a petty (BUT THEY DO IT TOO) that isn't actually true. cuz not all phones drop calls.

The free cases do fix the issue. You put your phone in a case, and you suffer less attenuation from blocking the signal (all phones have this problem) and no attenuation from bridging the gap (iPhone 4's unique source of additional attenuation). Your problem is fixed. There's no reason to do a recall when the flaw is so minor and Apple can't produce enough stock to supply the millions of customers clamouring for the phone you claim is a call-dropping PoS.

As for apologies (as if a special press conference and $175 million worth of free cases weren't an apology!):

10:45 am: Is Apple apologizing to its customers and investors?

Jobs: “I apologize to our customers… But investors … We want investors for the long haul. To those investors who bought the stock and are down $5, I have no apology. … We make great products, and if we hit a bump in the road…it’s just like having kids.”

So please find something new to harp on. I'm sure you'll come up with something.

So imho, that's 2 products that apple will be losing market share on, and you can probably tell that i'm a pretty aggressive growth type of investor, always have been.

In terms of market share, Iphone already have lost some grounds

Apple are overhyped shit, there products are all inferior, but muppets are brainwashed to buy them because they are "shiny".

I bought a PS3 because it was shiny and it turned out all right. And my nano ipod is not shiny.

that doesn't fix the issue that's a patch, re designing the antenna does, and exchanging/repairing affected users does, i have missed that apology didn't seem like an apology other than investors , but a free plastic bumper doesn't seem like a fix. the problem it's still there
