Forums - Sales - What the Hell, Halo 3 sold out due to demand?

I'm confused. My gaming buddy who has only owned a PS3 this gen, bought himself a 360s on last Friday UK.

He lives out of town, long story, but I picked it up. He got some more funds today and asked me to pick up Halo 3 so he could have it after work.

No probs.

Except I cant buy it new. The answer I got in game was we have a few 360 games out of stock over the weekend due to so many 360's being sold. Halo 3 was one of them.

I thought the software was down??????

I also wanted Splinter Cell for myself, which I hadnt got yet. And I had to settle for the last preowned copy.

What is going on? Is this only UK? Plymouth? What?

Can anyone clear this up?

Around the Network

They probably just had low stock of the game to begin with. It didn't even make the top 40 on Chart Track.

Proudest Platinums:
1. Gran Turismo 5
2. Persona 4 Arena
3. Wipeout HD
4. Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2
5. Super Street Fighter 4

Yeah I know. But it wasn't the only game.

I was really shocked I couldnt buy a new copy of a 3 year old game. And even SCC. Thats never happened in my City software wise, unless it's a first week release of a major game like Halo 3 or MW2.
