I don't really have anything to add to this conversation at all.

This game has been incredibly boring for me. And there are a shitload of posts that I just read between the lines. I have been very busy these days. Can someone summarize what is going on ?

This.

Sorry, but at the moment I'm with GodOfWar_3ever on this one. All I'm reading is people blaming each other for the nuttiest reasons. of course I want the game to progress, but this is just annoying. This is also one of teh reasons I'm posting so less. Before you even comment on someone's post, another person is already blaming somebody else and the whole discussion shifts to another one already. For People who can't read and post 24/7 it's incredibly difficult to follow your discussions. So please forgive my low post count. I try to participate as much as I can when I have the chance to do so.

I am always wary of people who can't come up with their own defense and when someone else posts a plausible explanation of something they go along with it

Vetteman, theRepublic's logic is sound. While No Lynch seems attractive, we've got to lynch Mafia, not rely on coincidences like last night.  No Lynch doesn't change our position much, except for more dead people - probably the confirmed townies we already have.

A successful lynch would motivate the Town. We choose somone who (with what certainty is possible) are Mafia. If we're right, more lynches are inspired. If we're wrong, we can do a better job of analysis of who was pushing for the kill and get it right.

I will vote shortly, I'll just check which of the semi-lurkers had the most suspicious of the few posts they do have.

OK, having looked at Falcon095, silver_tiger and SnakeEyez, I most suspect silver_tiger by a small margin. They're all guilty of active lurking though.

This part in particular:

"Not a bad start, 2 mafia scums already dead. Not bad at all. Although it's sad to see Hephastos really dead. He was a very active player in the last Mafia game."

Made at the beginning of today. Standard "summary" post of 'Oh look what a surprise two Mafia are dead and poor Heph', that is often made by those who knew what happened and want to express surprise as cover.

Kay. Kay. Kay. I am back. Let's get this party started.

I was out all yesterday. And despite nursing a hangover, this thread now has my undivided attention again.

More posts incoming.

(And FYI, it's futile looking at my profile to see if I'm online - because I often forget to switch my computer off/have a page of this website open all the time, so I almost always appear online, even when I'm not here.)

By who, the quarter of the people who are actually playing?

Mafia seemed like a lot more fun when I wasn't playing.  Maybe it's me, or maybe I just had the bad luck to join a game where the majority is too busy sulking to bother with the game.  Even you seem to have come off your earlier Pixie-Stick high.

Bad luck on your part. A healthy number of people seem to share my opinion on two critical points. MM476's trolling should have been stopped immediately, and there is a lot of wasted potential with roles. Nen's handling of the MM situation really kicked my motivation to play right in the nuts. I have little interest in a game not designed and managed to be fun for the players. Beyond that you have Final-fan, and Khuutra out on day one and those two are some of the more active members.

I never trust someone who wants no lynch on the second day. I am sketchy on it for the first day unless we get enough discussion going to see what is going on. If we give up the lynching then we might as well just call it a mafia win and be done with it. As such I am for lynching anyone who proposes such a plan on the basis of it being classic scum behavior.

I was waiting for you to come in here with this.

Of course the chances that the mafia hit each other are lower today, unless we have a couple imposters posing as townies. I even explain this my post. So why should we take the chance at killing a scum when the chances of hitting a townie is much higher. And with a chance at forcing out a powerful townie to role claim so he doesnt get lynched? With the situation that we are in right now wouldnt be in our best interest to sit back one more day and gather as much information as possible?

On a side note last time I proposed this you were very opposed to this idea, you ended up being scum in that game. Either its consistent thinking, or deja vu.

The chance of hitting a townie is always going to be higher than getting scum.  The difference is, the more you no lynch, the less chances you have to mess up your lynches.  It is difficult to figure out for a game this complex, but I did for the last game I was in.  In that game with no 'no lynches', we would have had to mis-lynch four times to lose.  With one no lynch, only three mis-lynches would have lost us the game.

Yes, I was scum in that game.  We went through with your no lynch idea.  The mafia had a flawless victory.  The town didn't lynch a single one of us.

No we didnt,  we ended up lynching GoW_3ever that day,  and then you convinced the other real townies on the last day that I was scum because of my "crazy plans".   I got lynched,  you guys won

Bullshit.  We no lynched Day Three, after we had already no lynched on Day One.

I'm all for lynch-all-liars, but now we have two people who have lied about seemingly small stuff.  SnakeEyez about not posting in another thread before posting in this one, and now Vetteman about a previous game.  I'm not sure either infraction is worthy of a lynch, but I don't like it either.

You echoed my thoughts exactly..

Was considering voting for Snake based on the small lie yesterday, I didn't know if that felt a little over the top though, after I saw a vote for him today I was ready to vote until I saw Silver-Tigers post

Well, at least we are all getting into it and posting/voting, too bad all our votes are all over the map for various reasons, we should see if we can all agree on one person...

I do not like the thought of a no lynch on day 2

LOL wow, MM is in a pickle already. I think it's too early to lynch somebody.

Vote:No Lynch

This vote came after makingmusic deliberately acted as bizzare as he could, for his own amusement.  It therefore strikes me as something of a non-sequitir.  A later post from Snakeyez explains that the town voted No Lynch in the only other game he's played, and that that game "went well," but in that game the Serial Killer won, not the town.  And when someone pointed out this fact, Snakeyez failed to respond.

Let me add to this:

While I still think that no lynch is best on the first day, the fact that Vetteman has only posted once makes me suspicious. In the last game, he played it the same way and he ended up being scum. Still too early to tell but,

FoS: Vetteman

This came in the middle of a bandwagon on Vetteman.  Gnizmo and Nikells had just added their votes to mine, and Dsister had already voted and unvoted Vetteman.  It seems to me SnakeEyez wanted to be associated with suspecting Vetteman, but at the same time he is being overly careful.  He really didn't want to see a lynch.
