"I can't say how happy I am, I've been waiting for this law to pass for a long time, and now it's finally true."

You were shit scared to come out of the closet at VGChartz this time last year, let alone in real life.

I hardly believe you were thinking about walking up the aisle with a man whilst too scared to come out on a video game website .. let alone IRL.

OT: Gay marriage sucks.

As much as VGC has kinda shifted to the social-networking-type layout and I've not liked it, I still wish we had a "like this post" feature...

And Gay marriage is soooo gaaaaaaay >:P

You and me dislike them for different reasons, my reason won't get me banned, yours will.

Perhaps, but I'm surprised you haven't been banned for disapproving of it at all. I love how everyone has to accept one person's view, and not the other way around here, lol. Personally I don't care anymore about this-off-topic-discussion, which is why I never really speak my opinions on this site regarding the subject.

Like I said, I disapprove for other reasons, you?

You're just a regular boring homophobe, who's pissed off because the world is growing to ignore you by the day. Just come out of the closet already dude ...

Around the Network

Why were you supposed to post this ASAP?

Also zexen I'm sorry for ranting at you, it's just when i see guys IRL go from one extreme to the other, then becoming gu(a)ys totally defined by their sexuality .. it annoys me.

I don't know enough about your circumstances IRL, I can say on here there was little reason for you to pretend you were bi and not gay though .. ...

Because anything to do with homosexuality, Zexen has to be in the thick of it giving his opinons, normally resulting in some unsavoury information about his private life ...

Oh yeah....marriage is pointless anyway. Who needs a piece of paper proving that you are commited to your partner? Waste of time/money/effort if you ask me. Unless, a hetrosexual couple have a child then the man must be married in order to be given any rights...

Ehm, anyone that wants to inherit? Social benefits? Different taxing? Even more extreme things like having a dunno-how-many-days leave from work in case your partner dies....all those things can only be given by a "piece of paper"

Pretending? Who did pretend? You could say the first, I dunno, 19-ish years of my life I pretended to be straight, it's hardly the truth, it's just that I hadn't found out what I really was. We come to terms differently to things, I never pretended anything, I just hadn't realized yet things that I realized later...

You shouldn't assume I was "shit scared" about coming out in a website because that's, well, simply not true at all

ENTIRE POST EDIT: I have edited this post (and several others) to more closely reflect how I now feel politically, while attempting to not remove relevance...  Chances are if this message is here, I don't agree with about 80-90% of what was said, thus portions have been removed... If the original post has been quoted, then I automatimatically revoke those thoughts and wish to replace them with what's currently posted in this post... If you are the person who quoted said post, then go ahead and change it if you would please. If you believe I have missed one, then please message me  in order to notify me.

This is a post of me trying to piss someone else off and remain unbanned...

I'm not a homophobe bud, I just have different views than the norm. And I'm not gay... The thought of being with a man to me is, and always has been unappealing

[insult towards Seece trying to piss him off using his own words...]

The whole idea of marriage has changed. It use to be the case as a union infront of god....bascially so you could have sex without Christians telling you will go to hell. These days you can organise everything to do with inheritance without the need for marriage and....different taxing is that even a benefit to being married? In England it is better off (financially) that the parents are divorced and live in different households as they are entitled to additional benefits.

Personally I think marriage is great but it works off old (in my opinion dated) traditions which I would prefer would die off. In accordance with this thread I am pleased that their is an option for homosexuals in regards to marriage and (most importantly) are no longer discriminated and treated as second class citizens. On the adopting side I think it's brilliant. I would much rather a child be housed by two homosexuals rather than a single parent. Maybe thats just me though as lots of people I know are strongly opposed to gay adoptions.

Anyway, it's a step in the right direction

Not gonna mention, I like to avoid being banned.

And I'm not a homophobe bud, I just have different views than the completely-liberally-conforming masses. And I have no need to come out of any closet. I have a girlfriend and I love her very much, and the thought of being with a man to me is, and always has been, EDIT: unappealing

Weak-minded individuals who assume everyone who does not approve of gay marriage is gay have much to learn about life in general.

Ya you're a homophobe. There is no reason to dislike gays or homosexuality.

I assume guys who are angry and hateful towards gay are gay themselves, not those against gay marriage.

Not here, only people related to you by blood and your legal partner can inherit, no matter what was the dead one's desires, so not even a civil union would cover that...in fact civil unions (which were legal before for homosexual couples) barely cover anything, not even social coverage.

As for tax, here they change based on if you're married or not, I heard that it's mainly the income tax that sets a different minimum (if you're single you start being taxed if you earn more than, I dunno, $1000, but it's more if you're married, say, $1200). Nevermind the fact that having children also changes the taxation

EDIT: I am disgusted with everything I said in this thread. I used to be an anti-gay right-wing Christian fundamentalist. I am literally the opposite of all of those things and these posts embarrass me.
