Having worked as a fashion stylist before, I've worked with numerous gay people, and they are the awesomest bunch of pple.

Really creative, smart and funny. As a straight guy, I don't even mind them talking to them about hot guys. I won't feel weird if my friend checks out a guy's bum and drools over it. I had a friend from uni who came out after a few years and I was the 2nd person whom he came out too and I was totally accepting him. My best friend hates him cuz he's gay but whatever, it's his loss to judge someone by his or her sexual orientation.

Alot of straight guys I meet are the most close minded people around. Just boring. Im sure there are straight pple who are liberal, creative and fun too just that I havent really met any.

One thing that pisses me of is that Im a really fashionable person, and take care of my body and skin and I really hate it when people think that Im gay. It's fucking annoying when I dress up and pple go "WOW ARE YOU GAY????!!!"

It's like you have to dress like crap, drink beer and burp and dress badly to qualify to be straight.

Typical gay thread, and all the drama that comes with it!

- The person who says marriage is useless is wrong. Marriage is a stronghold, and agreement. It means that even if you feel at one point in time you want to have a fling with another person - you won't. It provides loyalty and helps relationships last to a large extent. Also provides legal security and a good structure for child raising.

- There are many problems with gays adopting children. The child will no doubt have a harder life. But, the point has to be made that it has to keep on happening for it to be seen as 'normal' and then the unacceptance would die down.

- Not sure about Gay marriages because I'm not sure what Gods stance on Gays are. But then again didn't God make us all bisexual anyway? Or was that the environment? Probably the environment tbh.

The child won't have a harder life, maybe a tougher time in school if he lets the teasing get to him but a good education and caring parents will help him out a lot. He'll be much better off than being bounced from a foster family to another until he reaches 18 and is left on his own.

Also, maybe it's my Canadian perspective that skews my opinion here but once out of high school, I don't see having two guys or two girls as parents being a problem at all.

Well yea, school is were the big problems would be, but also, for a female child wouldn't it be terrible to be with two males? Two females would be fine, but for a female? Do they limit the abortion to same sex children?

As for your bottom bit I agree. When I think of a late teenager/young adult living with gay 'parents' I imagine house parties, alcohol and having a good time?

It's definitely perspective though, because having gay parents will definitely be an embarrassment for some individuals, and many gay couples aren't the stereotypical young, stylish males that first come to mind (my mind at least lol).
