It's certainly not impossible.

The game sold averige on the Xbox360. And reportedly they finished a PC-version. Why not try to make money?

I kinda hope it does. Alan Wake was one of the best looking/most enjoyable games I've played this generation and the sales have been below par. This game REALLY deserves to be played by more people so a PC version isn't a bad idea at all.
