Forums - Sony - Jack Trenton:puts failure of PS3 on early shortages and long unavailability

I responded like that because there were 2 ways to make this thread

"Jack Tretton comments on the PS3's 1st year on the market" This is what the title should have said if eugene wasn't intending to troll.

He shows his agenda to troll the PS3 more and more with every post he makes.

I'd say the title should read "Jack Tretton thinks PS3s shortages were the biggest mistake." It is both hilarious and accurate in the way it makes fun of the zany corporate office of Sony.

Bah. jhlennon1 is right. This topic could have been so much better without the troll undertone.

Well probably not, but we could only hope so.

There is no way to make this thread without a troll undertone. This is something amazingly stupid said by a Sony executive. No matter what the topic said, it would be filled with people laughing at Sony and the PS3 by extension.

They thought consumers are idiots?

sigh... can't Sony rep just shut up already? This kind of crap only make people dislike Sony/PS3 more.

" 5 millions without games..."

Ok, on topic, well Mr Trenton needs to come back to the real-world and realize something, there wasn't shortages for the PS3 on X-Mas of 2006, the Wii was the "sold out" console, not the PS3...

They lost alot of sales to the XBOX360 because of that.

I disagree, the constant delays and false launch dates, cost them. I know of three impatient people that got a 360 and never looked back cause PS3 kept moving back and they couldnt hold off for their "next gen" experience. I think most will own a PS3 one day but not just yet.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

If only people could actually get their hands on the PS3, it might outsell the others. Obviously.

You spinned that euegene worse than PR person ever.

He said have the shortages at the beginning was the biggest mistake. He didn't blame the failure of the PS3 upon that.

The PS3 did become widely available Late January/Early February.
