Forums - Microsoft - Square: MS unwilling to work on FFXIV 360 problems

I think the point is that MS wants to control whatever goes on their closed platform so they can get more money, while PS3 is a much more open platform, not as open as many other things but on the console side, they are the most open out of anybody atm when you are talking the side of dev. The problem is really starting to show too, with many things starting to go open source on the tech side, is it really a smart way to do business in the future would be something MS needs to look at in the long run on their gaming platform, that's how google is on the rise atm, a very smart business model. Imagen if MS did shit like that for Windows, who the fuck would use that then? goats and sheeps maybe.

Also most people didn't have PS2s that could go online. Thats why FF11 sold so poorly on the PS2. I didn't even have an internet connection until 6 months before the PS3 launched. If my PS2 was capable of going online then I would have bought FF11. Loads of people that love FF were in the same boat as me.

Oh definitely. Back when it launched, broadband internet was highly scarce. I didn't have that. I had dial-up for forever. But I had a way to scam my internet company though. So I never had to pay for it thank god.

But when I finally did I still needed the hard-drive, ethernet cords, and some big black thing that you put on the back of your fat PS2. The name escapes me atm.

This time it will launch better IMO. It will not be amazing. But it will be better.

You miss the point entirely my friend.

M$ make nothing from monthly revenue. Do some research. SE want M$ to change their policy for a very poorly selling game. Subcription costs mean nothing to M$. GAME SALES DO. You call us the noobs. LOL.

Maybe you should read Selnor. I said "THOSE."

and I have said before that if MSFT wants to charge their console owners for gold to play XIV that is fine. But they need to stop being whiney bitches about cross-platform servers.

Also, shouldn't you be off making a thread as to how awesome your next 360 game is and how it will be the best thing in the whole-wide world?

I cant.

VGC = Sony only Website.

If that were true, then you wouldn't be here.

He should be ignored for two reasons:

1. Obvious troll is obvious.

2. His posts are barely readable anyways.  That's actually one of his more clear ones.

I didn't name the add ons you needed for the fat PS2s either cause I didn't know the name lol but bottom line is FF11 released to .to an audience that wasn't equipt for it. FF14 will be a success on consols because consols these days have everything.

Also man the people who are saying negative things about FF14 are just hurt that there platform of choice isn't getting it. If there platform was getting it they would be saying the complete opposite.

Don't you mean Nintendo? =P

Ok so after doing a lot of research, it seems that anyone with AMD CPUs are getting low scores on the benchmark. I've seen someone with an Phenom II X4 with a GTX295 get about 100 points higher than me. So basically anyone with AMD processors are screwed.

This is probably also the reason its not coming to the Xbox 360 as the 360 processor is similar to a Phenom X3.
