GT5 finally passed the 100k mark !

Good Reach, Starcraft 2, Black Ops, and GT5 numbers !

Socom 4 is in the top 50 ... but LBP2 isn't ?

GT5 starting to gather pre-orders. Up about 2k or so on last week.

But if my maths is correct isn't it 16 weeks until launch?  113 days, divided by 7 = 16 weeks?

Also big boost for Fable 3! Did something happen for it to get that?

Reach still going along nicely. Soon as the advertising bomb hits those numbers will go through the roof. I still expect it to get to a similar figure to MW2.

Not really. It's just that a lot of people on this site forget how big Fable is. Fable II launched at over a million WW the first week, over 700k in Americas. It'll keep moving up the charts.

themanwithnoname's law: As an America's sales or NPD thread grows longer, the probabilty of the comment "America = World" [sarcasticly] being made approaches 1.

Why is Halo Reach not doing so well?!??  Are people not aware on how awesome this game will be??  At the rate its going now it will be lucky to sell 9 million LT.

i disagree. it's think it's doing great. give it another few weeks and watch those numbers explode.

also, since when is 9 mill considered bad?

Not a 360 fanboy, just a PS3 fanboy hater that likes putting them in their place ^.^

GT5 needs to start jumping, they need a million pre-orders in the USA to be on target to 7 million units sold in the next 2 years.

metroid other m is looking ok, Any estimates on first week sales?

I think GT5 numbers are very low...whats going on?

It still has 16 - 17 weeks to go before launch. The numbers are going to pick up.

Plus, GT5 appeals to a lot of casuals and car enthusiasts.  Ones that probably don't follow a lot of gaming news.  We'll have to wait till the ad campaign kicks up and Top Gear does a feature on it, then we will probably see pre-orders begin to really climb.  Then again, I'm not sure if GT's have ever been big on the pre-order charts.  I don't think we have numbers that go back that far.

because no one really gives a crap about it, execpt the vocal online community- which means it will fail in sales compared to real blockbusters

Madden on PS3 got a big boost compared to last week which was around 3,000.

How is adding 38k preorders this week not doing well in any context, and are you really making LT estimates off of preorders from two months before it releases?

I'm going by what MW2 had...every week Halo Reach tracks farther and farther behind MW2.

I'm hoping for the best but I fear the worst.

How is 8-9 mil the worst?  Even if Reach fails to outperform Halo 3, 8-9 mil is still insanely good for game to sell.

@ JaggedSac

I don't think there are numbers for Halo 3.  All I know is when MS announced there were 1 mil pre-orders for Halo 3 on Aug 9th '07.  This was 7 weeks from release.

Epic post ! You surely took into consideration about the different pre-order patterns for different games, that GT usually appeals to casual gamers too, who preorder games regularly, that GT is not as strong in the US as in Europe.
