There really isn't much to dislike with the 360 redesign. It's much more attractive, built in wireless N works great, and having the extra hard drive space is a huge bonus. Not having to delete things off the hard drive to make room is nice. It is so much quieter. You barely even know its running. The power brick is also much smaller. Having the Kinect port, optical out, and extra USB ports are also nice features.
Some of these features should have been there in the first place, but at least Microsoft learned from their mistakes and really made a quality system. Hopefully Microsoft uses what they have learned for their next system.

You forget a lot of people are having issues, their failure rate is STILL bigger than Sony's by a large margin.
Also it's not that quiet, it's louder than a PS3 (slim and fat line) according to dBA, so don't get your hopes up here. The PS3 isn't the most silent thing, so don't get into this hype from fanboys.
Not all is rainbows with the new 360-S like people are trying so ever hard to portray. Also they are cooler cause they are affraid to put a PSU into their machine cause of excessive heat. Their tech is actually unimpressive and cheap. They did this method so they can skimp on other areas of their console; To increase market cap earned per-system. Sony at least did it right, even when they used more power.
Don't say I am a fanboy, I am just saying, don't buy this 360 for the tech, it's nothing special. If your old 360 works, it's nearly the same and people get a little to excited about products they own. By the way, I own one too. I don't dislike Microsoft, I just don't pretend this technology is great, LOL... Even their Kinect is rather simple, and has been done before (the idea).
