I use Wavebirds on my Gamecube and the one thing I miss (and sometimes feel that I am not getting a complete experience in some games) is the lack of rumble.
Given the issues raised when Sony came ou twith the PS3 Sixaxis sans rumble (because of a licensing dispute), I think that there are many traditional gamers who will have an issue with this lack of feedback. I also think they underestimate the retraining that it will require for someone to go from one mode (haptic feedback) to another (no haptic feedback).
Given that there have been all these third-party add-on for the Wii so they look like they are actually playing the sport/activity listed -- I wonder whether people will want faux rackets, clubs, and wheels much more than MS realizes.

So does MS now agree with what Sony said in 2006 about rumble being a last-gen feature or are they happy they sued to stop Sony having rumble?
MS is acting a little schiztophrenic these days, dissing hardcorze stuff whilst praising the cazualz.

You fell right into my trap Muuuuhaaahaaahaaa. Actually he was showcasing gaming all that week and his comments came later whilst being interviewed about gaming in general. Turns out Jimmy Fallon is quiet the little gamer.

Well, if you read the article, it explains clearly that Konect basically brings the feedback idea to a new level, beyond rumble.
Yes, things change - they move forward. The Sixaxis moved backwards, by taking out technology present in the XBox and PS2. This option isn't being removed from the 360, controllers still have it of course.
i cant decide which annoys me more....lack of intrigueing launch titles for kinect or this clown.

I had rumble only on a crappy Thrustmaster wheel and I never used it.
I'm fine with either force-feedback (on my new wheel) or no effects at all (on my old joystick and any other input device).

It would be odd if it doesn't?
