Ok folks, what is with this Kinect can't be used sitting down?  Here is Microsoft refuting that:

Its not "folks" its a developer. It obviously hasnt been ironed out yet and its probably to late in the dev. cycle for RUSE.

This is probably true since Ubisoft have been talking about this game for a really long time but couldn't they just impliment the Kinect controls in later as DLC?

yea other developers said that the move was just a matter of mapping points so it probably could be easily included at this late stage in development, were as Kinect might take a bit more work to implement. so will Kinect need to be decided upon whether or not it will be used early in development?

correct me if I am wrong
stop me if I am bias
I love a good civilised debate (but only if we can learn something).

According to the Kotaku article from a few weeks back, Microsoft has apparently advised developers to design their games around a standing player:

One developer with whom I spoke and who is familiar with how Microsoft is briefing studios making games for Kinect said the company has specifically advised developers to not make games that would involve the player's sitting down.

I think the Ruse developers simply phrased this in a more black/white manner.

I think sitting "works" with Kinect in its current form, it's just far from the optimal position, and has (and presumably will continue to have) its issues.

For example, we have impressions from someone who played Joy Ride at one of the Microsoft stores on how playing the game sitting compares to playing it while standing:

Sitting down whilst playing Kinect? It works. Barely. I asked Mr. Salesman if the Kinect worked sitting down, and he assured me it would. So I asked for a chair, he handed me a stool. Remember how I said that Joy Ride's controls were janky and barely worked? That was standing up. Sitting down it was jankier than all of hell put together and bottled up into a tiny Xbox-attached camera. I turned, and it turned, very slowly. Boost worked 1/10th of the time, and I couldn't drift to save my life. It would automatically put me into a wheelie, and life was hell. So in short IT WORKS SITTING DOWN, BUT BARELY

I just thought of 2 things:

- Civilization V with Move support. If not 2k should give us Civ Rev 2 for PS3 and 360, you jerks

- Valve is coming to PS3 with Steam support and Portal 2 will be the best on PS3. They also said they'll study bringing more Valve titles to PS3 - and how couldn't they if they are bringing Steam, so expecting a L4D1 2 collection Valve - now check it out Blizzard bringing Starcraft II, Diablo III, or the big one, WoW with battle.net and Move integration. How big would that be? Don't know if Kottick and Activision will let them even if they wanted to but the meltdowns would be awesome, plus playiing Starcraft on a console would be awesome.

Starcraft 2 with Move would be horrible, no? If they dumbed it down a bit maybe, but a mouse keyboard is a must imo. L4D 1 and 2 though, is most likely a sure thing, not that any of them are any good, but still.

wow comments like this really annoys me....yea it'll show them a lesson..I hope Halo Reach ends up floppping! that'll teach them, GT5, Zelda flopping like hell would seriously teach them...I mean REALLY? Just because your fave lil console didn't get what you wanted it to get, hoping for a game to flop is just plain lame.
