At the time, RE-Make was mind blowing.  The graphics, the mood, the remixed puzzles--everything was astounding.  But, after that first playthrough, the scares were gone and the puzzles were no longer puzzling.  Great experience, that first time through, though.

First time through RE4 was a genre defining experience, too.  The graphics were second to none.  The puzzles were pretty weak and the atmosphere wasn't tense.  It had some truly awesome moments, though.

This would be a tough decision except for one thing:  The Wii Edition.  With the enhanced Wii controls, a great game became a legendary game.  I probably played RE4 on the 'Cube more than the RE-Make.  Toss in the time I spent with RE4: Wii Edition and it ain't even close.  RE4 takes the crown as the better game.

REmake is by far the best survival horror game ever made. However, the Wii Edition of RE4 is prolly my favorite third party Wii game xD

REmake because it was truly a survival horror game.  The controls just made the more scary, I remember my heart racing whenever a zombie popped up and I was afraid I was gonna move the wrong way.

I voted for Resident Evil 4 mainly because I didn't play both the remake and Resident Evil 5.

everyone is entitled to their opinion, but yours is very flawed, you say you didnt vote for the remake becuase it has "tank controls" yet then you agree with kylie dog when he said RE4 has tank controls and you reply with "The Wii-controls help al lot to make it feel more comfortable.............

well i've got news for you sonny jim, They remade the RE-make for the Wii...With guess what?  Wii-controls to which aparanlty help a lot to make it feel more comfortable

Wow I still remember the first time I played RE remake and how crazy I got when I encounter the first crimson.That game represent what is Resident Evil,RE2 may be my favorite but if u wanna experience what RE is all about thats the game to get.I still love RE4 but if one day the franchise dies Remake is how it should be remembered.
