Forums - Sony - MGS Peace Walker...

I'm so glad someone has made this thread, THANK YOU!

I would have done, but i've been too busy playing the game. Damn it's good. i don't want to put it down, i don't want to go to work, and when i do, i think about the game.

So excellent. Kojima is brilliant.

On the other topic of conversation, i usually go for games that do have beautiful graphics, but on whatever console i own. This is right up there with the very best PSP games.

I hope it sells the expected numbers - where is it now? 1million

I wonder how many downloaded it like me?

I don't want to be the one who comes in here and pisses on the camp fire but........as the game progresses, it's feeling less and less like Metal Gear to me.  I'm sending guys off on missions, worrying about guys in the infirmary, developing weapons, improving the base, and capturing enemy soldiers.  It just doesn't feel "Metal Geary" to me.  And the bosses that I've faced so far have been nothing but groups of soldiers, heavly armored machines, or groups of soldiers working along side heavily armored machines.  Nothing/no one like Psycho Mantis, the End, Vamp, or any of the MGS bosses that made me think "Holy shit, this is awesome".  Each boss fight has boiled down to:  Take out the enemy soldiers or keep calling in supplies while I shoot the boss to death with my machine gun/rocket launcher.

I'm sure the game will pick up as I play more (just finished taking out yet another mech and obtaining it's Metal Gear guts) but the side characters, the story, and the bosses just aren't doing it for me.  It's the best portable Metal Gear on the market and like any good portable game, it's playable in bite sized portions and it offers a LOT of content but it's missing some of that trademark MGS charm.

Bam couldn't help it and had to pick it up today ! :D Till now only cutscenes and few gameplay but those were awesome! They just introduced me to the upgrade and motherbase system, sounds like alot of playtime, wich is super as I have to travel a lot by train

This is me right now (although i don't have a lame job... it's actually pretty cool)

Just a little FYI for you guys, new DLC has been released for this game.  I downloaded it last night.  Just take your PSP online from the title screen and you too can have new camo, music, and voices for the AI bosses!

jaaj, defeated the second tank, and did all the sidemissions for now, awesome game. Though havent played any ad-hoc games, wish it would have normal internet play.

anybody knows a site where people rendevouz for mgs pw?

The worst thing about this awesome game is commercial failure -I can't stand it.Fact it sits at 0,06 in others right now tells me PSP is done and over.  When3DS hits shelves  there is no single reason to own a PSP. No more "it gets all real games" argument. Sony should quit handhelds and make money on soft for 3DS.
