these ones don't look nearly as good. it still looks like it's going to an awesome game though. i don't ever think that in game still shots are ever that good, the lines are too sharp and you notice all the little details that don't quite look right, but in motion it all comes together.

the Helgast are based on a mix of Samuri and Nazis (a martial evilness if you will, i do love the style), that's why they look that way.

KILLZONE 2 is going to be AWESOME...

I don't get why people have faith in this game. The Playstation 3 has better games to offer than this.

After seeing the target render vs. the gameplay of Motorstorm, I am really skeptical these days. Forgive me but I am will hold judgment until I see a demo running.

 Running footage was released around E3 this year. There was a 2 minute gameplay demo with a dutch guy speaking over it.

That dude looks quite eager to get right in the middle of the player's crosshairs.

I do hope they coin some decent gameplay :D The firefights look great and the graphics are of course on par to be the best looking console game available, but they better get the gameplay :P Maybe they should have Insomniac play through it before hand ;)

 

[edit!] Does anyone have that animated gif of the hellghast in the corner getting shot up? I think that would make for a pretty cool embed.

I don't know what it is, but something looks very off about these.  They're definitely photoshopped (all game screenshots released to press are) but these ones are obvious and just don't look right.

It looks like it's a cardboard cutout of the guy and someone just stuck it in the picture to make it look cool.  As for the others, I can't really put my finger on what makes them look odd or off.

The textures in these seem rather blah... On just about every surface. I've seen other images that seem to look better. I'm personally looking forward to this game and I'm hoping it will be a game as stellar as COD4 but with a single player campaign that can, you know, last for more than a handful of hours....
