I recently just got to disc 4 and now Im looking to get Zidane's Ultima Weapon. I read some faqs but they all said I need to get a gold chocobo. Problem is I don't remember how to get a chocobo in this game and was wondering if someone could help out on how to get a chocobo and how to turn it into a gold

Keep playing Chocobo Hot & Cold: you'll keep unlocking "upgrades" to your chocobo that way. Eventually, it turns gold.

And why haven't you been playing it all along? I thought it was a mostly-enjoyable mini-game...

Go to Chocobo's Forest on the Mist Continent.

Play Chocobo Hot&Cold.

Get the Chocographs.

Find the items with the maps.

Keep doing these quests for about a few hours.

You need to do about like 15 of them before you can get a Gold Chocobo.

I actually liked IXs chocobo mini-game. VII was alright too, but IX had it better.
