Ok, I didnt expect that.

Just maybe Kinect can have an affect in Japan. They love to motion it up. And it is the most advanced which they love.

?

It is. Dont start any rubbsih talk here. It's the most advanced tech of the 3.

It's the most advanced - but I'd argue it's the least well suited to supporting a broad genre of games (if I go by the no controller argument rather assume it's augmenting games which I think it would be great at) compared to the Wii or Move.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

So that would be a "Yeah But" from you then.

Kinect as seen by PS3 owners ...if you can pick at it   ...post it ... Did I mention the 360 was black and Shinny? Keeping Sigs obscure since 2007, Passed by the Sig police 5July10.

And I don't agree.

Yes the Japanese love their technology related stuff but that's not gonna make Kinect successful over there.

I hope you do realise that the majority of the Japanese population live in Apartments. If people play Kinect let's say Dance Central at their apartments, don't you think people below you will come up and complain because you're constantly stomping around? And what about the Sports game where you actually have to sprint on the spot or how about that River Rafting game? They all require leg movement and people below can easily tell when you're stomping around on the one spot.

The Wii has been so successful because all it requires really is the arm movements. People can even choose to sit down and play Wii Sports and Sports Resort. Mario games don't need moving around, Wii Fit doesn't need moving around constantly.

In Japan, if ya wanna play those Dance games, you go to an arcade and stomp around on the dance dance revolution machines, not at homes.

You've gotta consider all that and this reason will be very big in Asia and hence won't see success in Asian Nations where the majority of the population live in Apartments.

If it's so advanced, how come it isn't able to detect movements when sitting down, or more than two players? How come you need a large room with lots of space for it to work, and there reports of lag issues? How come most of the games for it look like the bottom of the barrel Wii 3rd party shovelware? It might be an advanced tech in terms of menu navigation and voice recognition, but in terms of practicality for GAMEPLAY, it doesn't seem very advanced to me.

I wonder if IM@S2 will use Kinect?  Killer app?

Japan loves motion control?

it doesnt matter if it's more advanced, doesnt mean it's going to sell any better for example take the Ps2 and xbox

give the gamers good games and they will buy into and play, so far kinect has only showed off tech, and not many games.

Slightly off topic there now @ the OT Great sales all round 360 did fantastic this week as expected with a new revised console launch, wonder if it can keep the numbers up.
