Forums - Website Topics - allow the quote/reply buttons to open a new window/tab, please!

When I read through a long thread, there are usually a few posts I like to respond to.  Rather than making several posts in a row, I generally just left+right click the quote button to open a quote in a new tab.  When I'm finally done reading the thread, I then go to my tabs and start replying.  If after reading the thread I don't need to reply to one of my quotes, I can just close the tab, and for all the others I can just combine all the quotes into one post.

Now I can't do that.

I was reading through a three page thread and came across quite a few posts I wanted to comment on.  That meant I had to press the quote button which made me reply right then and there.  Once I posted, it booted me to the end of the thread.

I can't left+right click the quote or reply button anymore so in that previous thread, there were a few replies that didn't need to be made and the others just made me make several posts in a row which is just annoying.

Furthermore, I kept losing my place in the thread because every time I posted I would go to the last page.  This made trying to read the thread Hell.

Can we please have some sort of option to open quote/reply in a new tab or window?

Yeah, that would be useful. I generally dislike anything that doesn't let me "ctrl-click". I just love tabs.

I hate bumping threads but...any hopes for this?

I forgot another reason I like opening replies in tabs is when I open something like VGC in the morning I generally do all my reading and then all my replying.  That means I start off by opening 4 or 5 threads, press quote or reply as I see things I want to talk on, and then move to the next thread.  When I'm done reading, I then deal with all my tabs.

Can't really do that anymore.  :-/

I agree I found that to be a great feature. Now and days I don't really post often, but I would still love that feature.

@Twesterm

You can always open the same page in several tabs and push quote then drag the quoted stuff into another quote box. Or you can enter html mode copy the code go into another quote box enter html code that should add another quote...

Sig thanks to Saber! :D

I want it back!

Tease.

I want View Post in a new tab just as badly. I assumed it was a bug with Opera (there are a million like always) so I haven't mentioned it.
