Too awesome to live, too awesome to die!
A real PS3 owner lost his PS3 today, not one of those disloyal fields with a 40GB or otherwise inferior version.
Tease.
I'm feeling sad for you. I have a 60gb version as well and I have actually never had any problems with it. Hopefully it will last forever. But everytime I read or hear that someone lost his black lady I worry about mine.
Good luck with your new one, or if you're going to repair it good luck for that.

Damn son, I feel for you. I fear that my launch 60 gb may be on it's last legs. Only me and another one of my friends still have our launch 60 gbs still intact out of everybody I know that had one at launch, so I'm a little paranoid. So when you called Sony, what did they say? Would they repair it (of course for a fee) and you'd get ur launch 60gb back?
