I hope those aren't the minimum requirements, otherwise it does make sense given the fact that PC gamers are playing at a higher resolution and they probably haven't optimised nearly as well as they should have.

If you want a mule for space, then you will be using the retainer characters which are only an extra $1 like XI. But in XIV your 1 character can do everything, so there is no point in a 2nd unless you just want a new race to play as.

and the pricing is the exact same model as XI. 12.99 a month per month.

well the default benchmark runs at 1280x720, and I got a little more than 6300 on default, but the game is playable at 60FPS at about 3000(I'd say at about 4890 level or a little lower at 1080P) and much lower at 30 FPS(3870ish at 1080P?). It's really not that bad since it's much more graphics intensive vs something like WoW.

That's the norm these days, I'm running on 2gigs lol.
