Local Game has got all the promotional stuff up for Playstaton Move and Kinect.

Interesting to note is GAME take £20 deposits for items over £100. And £10 deposit for everything else ( except games ). 

Playstation Move Starter kit hits for the price of £49.99 in the UK. This includes a Move Camera, 1 Move controller ( no navigation controler ) and the starter installation disc.

An optional Move controller is priced at £34.99, and the Navigation controllers are priced at £24.99. 

Interestingly it's a £10 deposit for preorder for Move Starter kit. Likewise a £10 deposit for Kinect. When asked in store at GAME for Kinects expected price you get the answer of, between £79.99 and £89.99.

This makes Move seriously overpriced in the UK. Coming in at £135 for 2 player experience on Move. Some £45 more expensive than the same amount of players on Kinect at the highest expected price and £55 more expensive at the lowest expected price.

What are your thoughts If you live in the UK?

Do tell me this, how do you know the price of Kinect? :S Baffles me cuz all leaks suggest 150 or so in US Dollars and now a retailer had it at an even higher value for UK if I'm not mistaken

So yes I dunno, which is more expensive at this point? and will the customers care? Sony can now advertise their product in a manner such as

"Playstation Move, 'starting' at 49.99" and vs. "MS kinect 150"...go figure

You're making the assumption that most or all 2 player Move games will require 2 Move controllers & 2 Navigation controllers. Some 2 player Move games may only require 1 Move controller per player, bringing the cost down to £85.

So the 2 player experience on Move could range from £85 to £135 depending on the game.

BTW, someone posted that Kinect is listed at £130 at one UK Retailer. Hopefully that is not the actually price.

GAME take preorders for £100 or more at £20 deposit. less than £100 is £10. Kinect is deposit of £10.

I know my local manager at GAME. I dont get 25% off my 360s for nothing. :)

But you can simply ask instore and they will tell you expected price of £79.99 - £89.99.

For example Move starter pack in US is $100. In UK is £50. They ( GAME ) has had every indication from M$ that the 2 region pricing strats will match the competition. Hence where the £79.99 - £89.99 pricing comes from. 

Considering the brand new 360s is £199 in UK and $299 in US GAME are more than reliable here.

Doesn't really matter for the price of the two peripherals. 20 dollar differences in game purchases says more to me.

If it was expected £130 GAME would be asking a £20 deposit. They take £20 deposit for preorders over £100. Less than is £10. Which Kinect is.

this thread really requires a cost comparision table ala the cost comparision tables that showed the ps3 was less expensive than a 360.

Well Move looks about 5 times more fun than Kinect so its worth the extra money (if that really is the price of Kinect).

starter pack is not 100 bucks :S it's around 50 if my memory serves right (kinda sleepy now lol)

anywho I dunno about your local Game but there have been quite a few retailers taking in pr orders for 150 or so yes? Including the official MS store...even though I think it's a marketing tactic by MS, I seriously doubt it will be below $100

Like I said, you can't really do a comparison until it's final....and btw not all games require two Move controllers and we do not know al bundle options for Sony either...GC and TGS will tell
