I've been wanting to get the PS3 slim for forever! I have a 40 gig monster from 2007.  I never have enough memory to install anything lately. I'll gladly sell it to buy a new one with more memory on it. I wonder if they'll let me transport my content to the new PS3 if I trade it in.

That's actually not too bad of a deal. I may take this under consideration. Does anyone know how PS3 Slims handle heat wise?

Do the fans run loud and does the console get hot?

console is cool and very quiet

there are cracking sounds sometimes though... other than that its quiet

there is just a bit of disc insertion sound like but that is minimal

nothing cracking here,better get it cheacked if something is stuck before something bigger gets broken

No way I will get rid of my 60GB system, if I can help it.  If I need to, I will clear out space on the harddrive to be able to still hold onto it.
