So at the end when kratos open's pandoras box the secret weapon is hope, but you have to unlock it by forgving yourslef for the bad things you have done, this allow kratos (i presume) to kill zeus at the end sucessfully, I'm just checking lol, anyway when he kills himself I am presuming it is so athena does not get the power and whatever is left of the world get's it instead (even tho it is in choas with plague's and floods etc), have i understood that right and is there anymore hidden endings, it did not tell me what happened after kratos died??.

Edit: I may have to replay this game again lol, some brilliant mindblowing event's happened in GOW III, I still can;t beleive my own eyes, lol

When Kratos opened Pandora's box in GoW 1, he received  the power of hope, and released the evils to the gods, unlike Athena thought.

When the evil Fear infected Zeus, he was afraid that Kratos will try to take over Olympus and became obsessed with the Spartan's death.

Kratos had the power (hope) to kill gods in him, but was unable to use it because he can't forgive himself for the evil things he had done in his past.

Pandora helps him forgive himself, thus letting him use the power of hope to its full potential.

When Athena asks for the power of hope, he kills himself to release it to the world, so they can rough it through the tides of chaos that kratos had caused.

He didn't give it to Athena because he was a victim of the gods' lies and deception and didn't want anyone else to suffer the same fate as him. Rather than let the gods rise again, he lets man kind be free of their rule as Olympus is destroyed.

The power of hope would fix things to the way they were before.

So I was nearly there lol ,not far off, but yeah it makes a lot of sense.

Thanks and how do I use the secret items like hades helmet when I start a new game the items I collected do not show?? Do I have to recollect them again??

You can only use godly possessions on difficulties that you beat or is lower than that difficulty. And they disable trophies.
