Remember Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time?

Now that the 3DS are supposedly a powerhouse in graphics department. Would they retry the cross consoles gaming again?

I personally would like to see something like that again. But instead of gimping the gameplay and graphics on 1 of the platform, how about making it a Wii game that make use of the DS as part of the controller.

Could be awesome to use the DS as a tool or have a second player make use of it.

The graphics should be resolved so that it doesn't look like a DS game on the TV screen.

Requiring people to buy the game twice (like the Echos of Time case) is kind of milking it. Hence, I think part of the reason why it failed.

If they make a game for the Wii I want them to use the controller's strengths, not default to a DS someone may not have.

No more original Crystal Chronicles and Echoes of Fate stuff, please.

if they have a decent idea, have the confidence, and hype it up, then sure, but i dont see it happening for the wii/3ds unless nintendo makes a firmware patch or something for the wii so that it recognizes the 3ds.

The Wii can recognize the DS just fine. That Brain age game thingy allows you to use the DS for writing.

i thought since its 3ds is new tech, it might not be compatible with the wii. I think it took around 7 months just for nintendo to make it compatible with the orignal ds, but maybe it will work seemlessly. Who knows maybe im just overthinking this. :)

AFAIK, Nintendo always enable cross console but just never bother to mention it.

They already have DS connecting to the Wii. I don't see why 3DS couldn't.

I'd like to see Capcom do this with Monster Hunter 3G.  Release it across both Wii & 3DS, and allow cross-platform play, either local or online.
