What gets you more Xxcited?: a Sequel, New IP, or Reboot form you favorite developers?

In my case the order would go:

(YAAAAY)New IP: There is something about My favorite developers deciding to strecth there legs and try something new that just fills me anticipation and Xxcitement like no other other announcement.

(cool)Reboots: Another one of my favorite announces. When a game serveral gens ago or game thats lost alot of fame over the years and though it was a great game it seems to get smoothered upon the mass of the developers priority IPs to it sleeps, its fun to imagine what that game would be like using todays tech to give it new life... and poof it finally happens now we get are Donkey Kongs, Castlevanias, Kirbys Kid icaruses ext..its always good to see sleeping IP's  reawakened.

(meh)Sequels: Sequels are cool to a xxtent. I love seeing IPs evolve with technology. Just taking time to look back at some long running Ips and see where they came from to where there are now can cool and sometimes shocking. but on flip side there so boring especaily the IPs that have the tried and true fromula that never want leave and its makes it worse then the milking begins. One of my favorite Video game characters is Megaman, but i havent been hyped for his games in a looong time( i mean really long) due to the masssive amout of sequels and spinoffs with barely enough ideas to sepaerate them. sequels arent bad but depending on how there handled can ruin the series.

your order?

I get equally excited for new ips and sequels. It all depends if the game is great to begin with and a sequel would add more to the experience. New Ips always get me excited since you may experience new things. 

For me,

1. Sequel --> The reason is I would love to see what they can do next, what they still have to offer, to keep the title alive. I like reading manga/comic right?! But I hate to start reading a new title from scratch. Once I fall in love with some titles, it's hard for me to leave it. I would look forward to the next episode. Also, When you look back to the previous episode or sequels it gives you a nice reminiscence. Just like what Starcraft 2 did to me. I have not touched SC for so long, then some SC2 stuff reminded me of old days playing SC1

2. New IP

3. Reboot

But again, I usually read reviews, then watch gameplay video on youtube, then make my decision.

It depends on who is making the game.  A game from a company that I trust gets me way excited.  By a company I don't know or don't like their previous releases they had better have lots of great photos and videos to persuade me.  Doesn't matter if it's a new i.p., reboot or a sequel.

I guess i should of made it alittle more clear. This thread is writin with the idea that  your favorite companys is annoucing a new game: what would Xxcite you more form the choices above?

Without a doubt:

Sequel (of a beloved game) - There have been few sequels to a favorite series of mine that have not satisfied me.  They do not even have to surmount their predecessors, they just need to entertain me (and for the most part they always do)

New IP - These can easily defeat the two above (this gen Demon's Souls for instance) but they have a much greater chance than the above 2 at disappointing me.  

Of those 3 choices new i.p. as it offers a chance for them to explore new territory.

For me I get excited for new IP's but Im hyped up for Gears3 and Halo:Reach
