Forums - Microsoft - Where is the MS hype/advertising for Halo Reach??

Halo Reach releases in less then 3 months and I have yet to see even 1 commercial or ad for Halo Reach.  For Halo 3 they started the hyping up a little bit before E3.

So why is it taking MS so long to start hyping Halo Reach??

There was a commercial for the Reach beta, which was the first such commercial I'd ever seen before.

themanwithnoname's law: As an America's sales or NPD thread grows longer, the probabilty of the comment "America = World" [sarcasticly] being made approaches 1.

Probably start cranking up a month before release.

I agree with Jagged. Gamescom looks to be the perfect venue to begin the push. It's much bigger than it was three years ago.

That just seems too late though.

Compared to what?  Call of Duty games?  I'd rather not have them follow that example.  The Reach hype has been similar to other Halo games at this point.  Calm down now, Chicken Little.

Nah, ads at this point in time arnt worth it, waste of money.

They'll start 6 weeks before, and really ramp it up in the 2 weeks before release. They're going to spend mega bucks though so don't worry

I bet they will advertise the crap out of Halo:Reach.......Im a bit dissapointed that they didnt with Alan Wake which in my opinion would potentiallly sell 360's!!!

Do they even need an ad campaign for Halo game? Everyone and his grandma knows it's comming.

MY HYPE LIST: 1) Gran Turismo 5; 2) Civilization V; 3) Starcraft II; 4) The Last Guardian; 5) Metal Gear Solid: Rising

It does'nt need hype, but it still alittle to early for the marketing blitz.
