Level 5's first two self published console games were revealed this past week, on two different consoles, and with a huge brand attached to each.  So who will sell more?

Wow um what is ninokuni.  I have no idea what that is haha.  Any pictures for past releases or something or past sales data because I really don't know.  I know what the other one is though haha.

It is a game that is for both the DS and PS3 no info on if there diffrent. It's art is being done by Ghibli.

Wow so pretty much in this thread there is no way to tell what will sell better haha.  I think I'll remain neutral then.  Wait til these get closer to release which I'm assuming we don't know that either haha.

Really quick background for each...

Inazuma Eleven: Realtime Soccer RPG series, first game sold over 400k on DS, last game sold over a million on DS, 3rd game releasing on DS next week, hit TV series is on the air and just announced film coming in December.   Not much is known about the Wii game, it started out as a remake of the first DS game but has since evolved into an "all-star" game which will feature fan favorites from all 3 DS titles.  No release date yet.

Ninokuni: Dragon Quest inspired Poke-clone with art and setting by renowned animation house Studio Ghibli.  DS and PS3 "twin" games announced, with the DS version coming in December and the PS3 version sometime in 2011.  Comes with 350 page Grimoire to reference for spells and world history.  Touch screen symbol drawing spellcasting in DS version, no word on Move support for PS3 though, DS and PS3 versions feature different battle systems, some characters and plot twists.  Supposedly started out on PS3 originally though.

neither, I think ninokunki DS will come out on top.

However, I can imagine Inazuma 11 selling fairly well in the West if it released there and recieves a decent marketing push

Don't know, but if Level 5 knows how to market them to the Wii and PS3 audience as well as they do market there games for the DS audience, they both have the potential to reach some really awesome numbers.

Ninokuni has still to proof itself though as franchise, but the PS3 version looks like a conservative RPG with sky-high production values which should eppeal to both hardcore and casual RPG fans in Japan.
