I can't think of another single-player game that encourages its dedicated fanbase to play as their opposite gender more than Persona 3 Portable. Of course, if you've already played Persona 3 or FES, you'd be selling yourself short to play as the male again.

My friend is an idiot. He kept playing Tetris because I told him there was an endboss.

Hype! I am quite sad that I won't be able to buy this immidiately. NO FUNDS!!!!! argh.

Ooo liking the new updates to the OP.

I have probably listened to the P3 soundtrack more than any other music CD since the day I bought P3 on the PS2.  I love the music (I listen to Nocturne's music probably second)

FES people are not "that" annoying :)  I think I enjoyed the game the first time thru more than I did the second time on FES.

Be ready to spend hours trying to get certain spells on your chosen Personas!

Like megido on Alice!

Added VGC, Gamervision, and 1UP's review to the OP. For some reason, VGC won't let me add a plus sign :-/

Other Reviews:

GamingNexus: A
"Even with some downsizing, Persona 3 Portable manages to be an incredible port of one the PlayStation 2's best role-playing games.  Best of all, it adds enough new content to warrant a second look for anybody who played through the game years ago.  This is the most compelling role-playing game to come out of Japan in ten years and a must-own for PSP fans around the world. "

GameZone: 8.5/10
"Aside from some graphical downgrades, this is still a solid version of a great RPG. If you’ve missed out on the game before, here’s another chance."

Yeah, the music for the MegaTen games are great especially Digital Devil Saga's. The only soundtrack I didn't enjoy was Strange Journey. It lacked variety and all of them sounded the same (pretty much every track had chants). The music in Nocturne did a fantastic job setting the atmosphere.

Some of my favorite Nocturne tracks:
Dante Battle - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BZTNjzXCtII
The Labyrinth of Amala - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j5_dbyxLQNw
Last Boss Battle (After Transformation) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4TX8Re6HRIw
Acopalypse - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m0745-mB8OY
Amala Shrine - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r0mj5lG_pWU

The last track always spooked me and made me run for my life xD. I want another game like Nocturne.

Oooh, the third full moon is fun. I liked messing around there. Have fun!

Three more reviews with a perfect score. Woot Woot Woot!!!!

- Gaming Nexus: A

"Persona 3 Portable would have been a great game even if it was nothing more than a straight port of the PlayStation 2 game, but instead Atlus added enough new content to make this the first must-own PSP RPG of the year!"

- GamerNode: 5/5

"Persona 3 Portable takes the already massive console version of Persona 3 and translates it successfully to the PSP platform, streamlining most of the experience to make a game that is the definitive PSP RPG."

- Gaming Age: A

"Overall the game is still the same Persona 3 that I ended up loving back on the PS2, but the new additions and the inclusion of a gender switch for the hero character add a surprising amount of content that's worth checking out for those that already dumped a lot of time into the first one."

P3P will give Kingdom hearts: BBS a run for its money as best PSP RPG.
