Well I got to thinking when I read an interview yesterday. In that interview a guy from Retro refused to confirm whether we'd be able to play with Animal Buddies. He also confirmed that under water levels were not going to be found in DKC:R. Now I loved the underwater levels but I can live without them, what I'd have a hard time living without is DK's animal buddies.

Animal Buddies have been found in every Donkey Kong game since DKC. They were in DK64 and even JungleBeat heck they even made cameo appearances in Donkey Konga. Now I have already pre-ordered and pre-paid for my copy of DKC:R whether or not animal buddies are included I'm purchasing the title.

But I wondered, how important are the animal buddies to you?

I really liked them and I would consider Retro lazy not to add them lol

And I didn't like the under water levels. They were scary and hard. Darn octopus.
