so there is this annoying ad in VGC that drives me crazy. It is a German one I think. Every time I click on the forums (and the nerd that I am, I am doing this quite a lot) The ad starts. Well I wouldn't mind the ad, but it automatically plays a sound and runs for 30 secs.

It is an ad for a laundry detergent (VANISH). Please make it stop.

Well, there are certain extensions for adblocking.... But I'm not going to give tips for that, since the admins don't like these addons. It also blocks the revenues for the administrator, since the ads don't get clicks.

who cares if the admins don't like these addons. If an advert is annoying I'm blocking it. What are they going to ban me for it. I go to another website if that's the case. lol

Just please stop ads that play sound automatically. This is annoying and makes VGC less attractive.

I don't mind normal adds, but I'll instantly block those that are overly intruding or coded so badly that they slow down my PC (god there are some awful flash programmers making some of these adds - flash is the internets poison anyway).

I seem to remember seeing a forum like this before. I think they talked to ioi about it and he asked the ad company to take it down. Also, some ad blockers will let you only block certain ads if you don't want to block everything for some reason. They make the site run much faster.
