Forums - Microsoft - Justin Bieber teams up with Kinect

Justin Bieber is a stud.. tries too hard to be cool, but when you have a bunch of girls going gaga over you, you must be doing something right..

You hardcore gamers should be happy, might have a chance to meet some real girls online now..

Man Microsoft really loves to use celebrities. Its a very smart move considering Microsoft is targetting the casual and female markets with Kinect. They could very well have a thousand systems sold just from that one concert. If Microsoft can advertise Kinect better then Nintendo did the Wii we could see some pretty impressive sales.

If Microsoft starts advertising this everywhere and targets females and casuals they could very well steal some of Nintendo's marketshare, though if the glitches still remain it could be shut down pretty quick. Microsoft needs to deliver with Kinect big time in order to actually crush Move and move on Nintendo.

Also Dance Central is looking like the big game for Kinect. I bet almost every Kinect sold will also see a Dance Central sold. I predict 2-million this holiday season!

Don't you dare say anything involving justin bieber (I don't respect her enough to capitalize her name) is a smart move. i say burn it....burn it with fire now.

Kinect needs to be purged of its overflow of estrogen now

Smart move

Taking a page from Nintendo's book.

I will see how good the Kinect is and the games for it before I decide to buy it. Celebrity advertisements whether it be Justin Bieber or the like will not factor at all in my decision. Only the games will factor into it.

Yes if you want loads of obsessive teenage girls to get Kinect

However if you want the majority of your 40 million install base to get Kinect-ed its probably a very poor marketing move. My guess is most Call of Duty, Gears of War and Halo fans hate him

well then, those people aren't going to be at his concert or be looking at girls camera phone taps of the concert now would they?

they would be at internet looking at kinect news andfind this video, won't they?

then next question, does someone liking something make you hate it?

Tons of people like Nickelback and Soulja Boy...............

Yeah, that's the selling point for me. Justin Bieber used it,so I have to have it. lol

yea genius move, not showing kinect, but showing the dancing game.

my sisters are flipping over it and want kinect so bad just for that

Look at that goofy Wii dancing game that's soaring off the shelf - and the game isn't even dancing - it only detects the motion of a control!  This game, despite the core gamers' opinion like all of us here, will sell fairly well and garner so pretty serious sales of Kinetic.

I do not plan on getting Kintect, until I see something core come out - but there's no denying the public interest.  Non-gamers who I show the Kinetic to - are mindblown.

Then Microsoft goes and does this - gets the biggest Tween magnet on the planet at this time - to jump on board.  They will follow - and so will thier parents wallets.
