Forums - Sony - Sony: We Have 'No Plans' for 3D in Next PSP!

These interviews are always so meaningless. They'll deny everything, true or false.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Is not that they can't. The problem is that they don't want to shoot themselved on the foot.

Sony is placing a huge investment on 3D television, and the PS3 is a good way to push the sales of those devices that are very expensive to make. If they make a 3D psp, they run teh risk of killing what they want to push and placed a lot of money in.

I don't think the next PSP will be 3D, but will offer a lor more features that the PSP and the 3DS

Well it certainly will offer at least 1 less feature than the 3DS which is:

It's not in fing 3D, lol.

Seriously, if Sony wants to compete with the 3DS they can't just improve the graphics, and fing facebook compatibility. They need something related to gaming, and if it's not 3D, then f it.

Edit: I'm going to replace my blasphems with the letter F, because I feel I overdid it.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.

Sony right now is in a bad position. You guys think that they just have to add 3d on PSP2 and have PS3 graphic capabilities and problem solved?

Sony is pushing 3D on TV because it's competing with ther electronic companies that are offering the same product and are using the PS3 as a jumping platform like it was for the push of Blue-Ray. Just imagine the huge money investment the company has given for 3D TV since it's the future, they want to be part of that.

adding 3D in a portable with PS3 like graphics has the huge risk of killing the PS3 and their money on 3DTV. They just simply can't do that without losing A LOT of money.

If a handheld system in 3D can kill the 3D television market and the PS3, then the 3DS already did it. If that is impossible, then your argument is nonsensicle. It is rare when you examine two choices and both of them seem very likely.
