They feel the pressure now.

Seeing as how MS hasn't released a price how can they lower it? How are they feeling pressure? Not selling enough kinects? Oh yea they are not out yet. People just need to learn to wait. When they announce a price than we can go all gagga over it.

Not because of sales obviously, but because the retailers are telling them it's too expensive... that's what the article says anyway.

It's not a bad thing either, Microsoft can afford going SonyStyle and sell it cheaper than cost.

Retailers are making their holiday orders now.  It would be dumb to mislead retailers because they will order fewer units for the holidays.

The article said that the estimated 149 price is too high. Microsoft has not priced it yet so they can't lower or raise a price that does not exist. the 149 is what retailers think/thought ms would sell it for. So basically that article makes no sense.

And people ask why there are so many kinect threads? :P we still don't know any finalized info on this...So I take they will announce this at gc in August? Should be interesting

I also think they will have multiple bundles and such for different prices
