Forums - General - Anyone really dislike soccer?

Hey, Montana, wasn't it a good day? USA and Germany made it to the next round. No need to fight with people who don't like soccer/football and whose only interest in this sport is to create a redundant thread about their dislike.

BTW: In most other countries Landon Donovan would be a national hero now with his sensational last minute goal. I hope at least some US media acknowledge and understand the great performance of the US soccer team in the World Cup group stage. The US team did not only proceed, they won their group today! (A fact which all English members on this site prefer to ignore in their posts in the Football threads)

Might see something you've missed.

I dunno. I'm gonna fall asleep. It was a good day, but the right teams won as they should have.

Wow, this thread is full of hate. But professional soccer is no more entertaining than kindergarten kids playing soccer IMO. Same with Baseball. Actually, I really hate all sports. Maybe I should go start a sport hate thread..

8th gen predictions. (made early 2014)
PS4: 60-65m
WiiU: 30-35m
X1: 30-35m
3DS: 80-85m
PSV: 15-20m

PS3, I'll be the most honest I can be: you're a hypocrit and you represent what's wrong with the typical USA citizen - the arrogancy, the idea that they're far more superior than people from other countries in every possible way, in this case, sports.

First of all, you accuse the people who actually like soccer to be biased. On the other hand, you praise the people who share your oppinion and say they're "unbiased". Ironically, that makes you the most biased person on this thread. Well, that and the fact that you created this thread just to flame, there is no way no one will change your opinion 'cause you won't lift your ass of the couch and actually try to play football without keeping in mind "I must hate this sport".

Second of all, no talent required? HA! I'm willing to bet with with you, you can't do 1/10 of the stuff I can do with a ball. I'm not even exagerating and I'm not that good. Besides, if it's that easy, why don't you just come to Europe, play for Real Madrid and win millions per month?

Third of all, watch true football from other countries, like England, Spain, or better yet, watch the World Cup, things are starting to heat up. USA's  football is still very... well, the best word for it is amateur. Give it some years.

If it looks boring for you, it's because you either don't have any idea of what's going on, and therefor your opinion is based on ignorance, or if both teams have too much to lose, and therefor they must be cautious. Just because it's an universal sport... I'm sorry, I can't even find a good word to describe your ignorance! A universal sport is something that men, women, children, EVERYONE can enjoy. It's something everyone can play and have fun with. It's something everyone from any place of the world can play if they have a ball. Of course that, in order to be one of the idols that play in big clubs, you can't just decide you want to be a football player - even tho dedication is a great step forward, you need skills such as strengh, speed, agility, inteligence, experience (so you can understand the opponent's tactic), technic, and also, be just as strong mentally. Football is unique.

In other words, this thread is a failed attempt to bash football and its fans.

Can a mod permaban the TC? We don't need this type of person on VGChartz.

I've never been into soccer but the world cup has been interesting. I'm more of a Cross-Country type of guy.

Don't you guys see that you're getting baited?

I've argued with Ps3 before, and I wouldn't advise the same for anyone else. It's the same as arguing with Leo-J about music; you'll just be frustrated with their stupid arguments over and over and it will never get anywhere.

If you really want this thread to die, everyone report it and stop posting. Do this, and it will die.

Hi Montana. I've missed you. Sadly, you hate my guts though. :'( How are you?

I'm not baiting anything. I disagree that soccer is talented.

I hate your guts because I think you like to troll. If it's unintentional, then I feel even worse.

Take for example in this thread when you called Soccer/Football a girl's sport and then still somehow managed to spin that as other people being sexist. Stupidity at its finest. And as much as I'd love to stay and chat, there are plenty of other slow people who are perfectly willing to be baited.

I swear its unintentional, but when you say you hate me, I smile because deep down I know ya love me. haha

It's not my fault sexism is at its finest in the world today. For instance, how many popular female soccer players are there? It's not stupidity Mr Montana. Okay, let's chat soon! I have so much Pop music love to share with you, that I was unable to tell you in these last few months. <3

Reputation proceeds me, they told you I'm crazy, I swear I don't love the drama it loves me <3

BUY TAYLOR'S NEW ALBUM REPUTATION!!

So the typical American thinks they're better in every way than people from other countries? I think you're confusing a small minority with the majority. And if we're going by the World Cup, the U.S. finished top of Group C over England. So how exactly does England play "true" football while America is amateur? How is that possible when England tied the U.S. and the U.S. finished top of the group? It's almost....CONTRADICTORY. The U.S. team has been playing for many, many decades, and even beat England 60 years ago. The team doesn't need a couple of years. It's a good team that catches a lot of crap because the country it comes from doesn't claim Soccer/Football as its most loved sport. It doesn't have to be. I'm an American and it's my favorite sport, but I don't get mad when other people say they hate it. It's just preference.

In fact, just shut up.

lol another one of these. i think  we should sticky the previously stupid thread so we don't have a whole bunch of humongous and disgustingly hatred-filled threads
