I dont know. MS sell a $100 wifi add on before so..

Before? They still do. My guess is the wifi adapter is purchased by those with a lot of disposable income. And they must sell pretty well considering there hasn't been a price cut on them.

The Kinect is part of the 360's rebranding and the price needs to be competitive with other motion devices.

yeah it is at $150 its cheaper than sonys move which will cost close to $200 to get more than 1 player

it's actually cheaper to buy them all separately.

Well the Move bundle cost $100. Throw in the Navigation controller and that's another $30.

A lot of people like to play games with their friends and the Move is intended to appeal to the casual market. Another Move controller is gonna cost $50. Throw in $30 if you want to play a game that requires the Navigation controller. So a Move bundle, additional Move controller, and two Navigation controllers will run you about $210 plus tax.

Also, I was looking at The Fight: Lights Out. From what I can tell that game requires two Move controllers for each player. So if you wanna play that game split screen it'll require four Move controllers. So that experience will run $250 plus tax.

Basically I'm saying the full Move experience isn't cheap. The full Kinect experience shouldn't run more than $150 and I presume the real price will be around $100.

toshay. in your argument somebody's real friendly. while in mine you haft to buy your own.

I think all of this comes down to retailers. I don't think microsoft planned anyhting out. I still think that online stores saw that the first place to list it was getting preorders, so they all followed suit so as not to loose orders themselves to someone who was set up to take preorders already.

In one of those E3 videos from GameTrailers, a MS represenitive claimed they already determined the final price. He basically just said people will be happy with the price and they'll announce it some time before the launch. That leads me to believe it'll definitely be under $150 because nobody is happy with that price.

Nice attention to details there!

Its actually spelled touche.

Generally people own multiple controllers so they can play with friends and family. The Move clearly has a focus on multiplayer gaming as well but the controls aren't cheap and the upcoming titles so far are lack luster.

You could argue the Kinect titles don't look great either, but you only need one Kinect device for multiplayer.

touche. google sucks and theres no spell check so when i get to typping o don't look over tmy work. that may be true, but if you want to play with me that badly you'll by your own.

my brother has a dualshock3 and no PS3. needless to say i didn't buy it for him. nore would i have.

if you don't buy your own you'll have to sit and watch. heartless but i got my point across. nobodys going to buy me a car so why should i buy someone else a controler. does'nt make that much sence to me.

Being a good host to your friends would kind of mean not forcing them to buy stuff to hang out with you. AS someone who likes to have people over I would not expect them to bring controllers, but I would supply them with some.

Well it sounds like you don't care if you play with others. However, most of us actually enjoy playing with others and own multiple controllers. The Kinect having multiplayer from one device will be a huge selling point.

For the record, joysticks are considerably cheaper than cars. They are even cheaper if you shop online. I personally didn't buy controllers for other people. I bought other controllers for visitors to use. It stays with me.

I wouldn't put it past MS. They are master manipulators.
