Very few may do this, but what happens if the pre-order is paid fully up front? In Australia, we "layby" items all the time. It means you have fully paid for an item to get it at that price and then pick it up when it comes in or pick it up when both parties agree is a convenient time. So, what I am saying is that with any pre-order, if monies are exchanged, you are binding the final price. It's a contract. |
I pre-ordered from Amazon, and they give you the lowest price it posts between the time you preorder and when they ship it, even if it was on sale for like an hour at some point. I've had several times when new games were charged for $10-12 less than what I thought I was buying them at by the time they charged my card. Once they even credited me $10 a week later when it went on sale the day AFTER I received it. And it was automatic - - didn't even have to request it.
