FINALLY GOT IT!

I hope I like it as much as KOTOR or Oblivion!

Oh hey, I got it a week or so ago, too. I'm playing through right now.

....Set the game to Casual.

At least early on, until you get the hang of it. Combat's not great until you get some good ammo upgrades.

Cool we'll be playing it at the same time kinda!

Good choice Darth, Mass Effect is an epic game with an amazing story and combat system. I wouldn't put it at the same level as KOTOR, but it's pretty good nonetheless

Do you have ME2 as well? The continuity effect of both games is pretty well implemented, and you'll actually see that some choices that you have taken in ME will effect ME2. 

In my opinion though, ME1 is by far the better game, with the best story and interface. Hope you enjoy it

The early stuff doens't matter (much), pick whatever sounds good to you.

Ahhh....I remember your "finally got Uncharted !" thread too...

I only played like 30 minutes of ME2 and I was so ready to buy a 360 (not just for ME2 ofcourse)....

But now I'm stuck with blowing my new 360 fund to get a PS3 slim since my phat is a bitch who got YLOD...

I'll be getting ME2 as soon as I finish this to make sure the continuity is there.

Everyone says ME2 is much better though, well I'll find out.

KOTOR is so epic if ME1 is even 70% of what KOTOR is it'll be my 2nd fav WRPG this gen.

I also got The Last Remnant too BTW. I've been missing PC gaming for so many years!

ME1 is a great game that did a lot of things right, but had a few annoying idiosyncracies.  Personally I think ME2 is superior in many ways, but they were both damn good games.  Enjoy!
