It's not really a total sim, looks arcady, but looks a lot of fun. And InsideSimRacing spent a hell of a lot of time playing Arcade racers (Grid etc) and they aren't any more credible than the next guy. (They try to make out that they are credible because they've driven racing cars - so have I and many others, what's the difference?).
I'm not sure i'l get it, it really depends on how much F1 variety GT5 will have because it is ultimately the best F1 car experience for realism fans. (Selnor is no doubt going to argue but look on Youtube and you will find split screen videos of GT5P and Massa - both taking the exact same racing lines and braking zones and ending up with lap times within 0.1s of each other - being that close to real life is what simulation is). But I'l probably end up getting this because it looks great fun, it has all the F1 tracks and up-to-date teams, and the weather effects look great in it.
Btw This is more an arcade racer (that's not a bad thing, they are generally more fun!) and yet you start spouting about marble effects etc. This game is fun, awesome, great...sure, but as usual Selnor you are being aggravating and hyping it up as something it isn't.
And also note how poor visually the game looks compared to screenshots - Lol, I've seen that happen before. It looks very nice though and I'm not a graphics whore myself so I don't really care, but the bullshit shots I'm seeing nowadays is borderline illegal of being 'misinformation' lol.
When's it out btw???

Dude. ISR have alot of credibility so you think giving GRID 5/10 under the section realism means they have no credibility?
They only review racing games. They only review using actual top of the range force feedback wheels.
The game looks fantastic. graphics look great, and obviously you didnt listen to the whole interview.
Rfactor and Iracing on the PC are regarded as the pinnacle of Simulation racing. On a scale of 1 to 10 they rate them 10.
Now on sim mode for F1 2010 it is likened to around an 8 against those games. That is very impressive. GT5P got a 7 I believe and FM3 a 9.
ISR deserve much more attention than any mainstream media like IGN who use stupid controllers and are 99% of the time not reviewed by people who love the racing genre.
ISR only do the racing genre. That speaks volumes.
People need to firstly watch an interview. Then they need to wake up.
EDIT: It took the first guy on RFactor 4 and half months to get within half a second of Schumacher. Thats how realistic RFactor is. GT5P is nowhere near as realsitic as RFactor. The braking zones in GT5P are wrong, and it's not possible to brake in a corner at speeds you can in GT5P. If youve driven race cars you would no how bad that sounds.
