Should be noted that was IGN UK.

This is what IGN US thought of MS conference

I generally agree with their view, however I'm suprised at the rather harsh reception among the fans regarding Zelda

Zelda always gets a harsh reception

A site has more "sense" than the other, because they share your veiwpoints?  Rich.

But lol, truely the conference was all in all, disappointing - since they seem to be using Kinect in a way to phase out controllers completely.  I don't know if I agree with that mindset - as being open to various applications of the tech is much better than gimmicky full body motion games - that I for one, would rather not play.

Here's hoping that developers learn how to use the controller in conjunction with Kinect  - even if MS foolishly doesn't want them too.

Updated the OP with the US teams discussion of the E3 "winner"

Nice, the guys from the US can really not ever say that it was Ninty, eh?

Now they are like, well, uh, eh actually, third parties are the winner and stuff.

Sad and pathetic.

What bothers me is the premise of the video was "who won out of the big three" and the other two wrote in the fourth option apparently that was third parties...  Like you have three to choose from... how hard is it to pick just one?  I guess they didn't want to be like Hatfield and go "Yeah I thought Nintendo's conference was the weakest" and then have their comments trolled, blog walls covered with backlash, and inboxes filled with hate lol

This Hatfield person was judging the conferences in a more shallow way, rather than judging them by content. If you go by flash and such, Nintendo has always been kind of conservative in that aspect, while MS is the exact opposite.
