I agree as well but if H3 won GOTY this year then I wouldn't be as pissed as I was last year seeing all these sites and media giving Gears of War GOTY over games such as Okami, Elder Scrolls, and of course Zelda: TP.  That was always the biggest load of shit ever.  Giving Gears of War a GOTY last year over those 3 years was like the bullshit when the Oscars gave Shakespeare in Love an oscar for Best Picture over Saving Private Ryan.

The only glaring omission was SMG from best game. The other candidates all seem fine and Halo 3 is a valid nomination given the reviews it received.

 I know doesn't that just piss you off.  I'm pretty sure it was the 1998 Oscars where that happened.  The Oscar people after that actually had to come out years later and apologize for doing it stating it should have gone to Saving Private Ryan.

On a side note, as to the topic of Halo 3, from what i see among FPS players the game is utter crap. My younger brother plays FPS game on the 360 and PC and all he does when Halo 3 is mentioned is just laugh and ignore the game. But anybody attacking the TC for his OPINION is a moron and should shut up seriously wtf is your problem??

Not listed: Super Mario Galaxy 2nd.

Two belong and a third you can make a case for the third given the hype/sales/circumstances surroinding it. But Mass Effect does not seem to belong and SMG should be listed.

In my mind, such a glaring omission in the most important category invalidates the entire awards program.
